Fatal error msg 142 on Konica 7821 n

My printer is making a clicking/grinding noise after it initializes. Service tech said it was the cyan toner drum, changed that and it still is not working. It indicates fatal error 142, call for service. Any ideas?

Thanks for the attempt. I tried it but it didn't change anything. I checked the CD for codes as well. The 142 Fatal Error just says to call for service. Service tech was unable to solve the problem either.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300 DL - Fatal Error Code 0EH ????

I had the same problem one time, they told me to pull out all of the toner cartriges, power off, power on, power off, replace all cartridges and the problem went away.

Who knows why. If this doesn't work....

Call Konica Minolta tech support.

They were pretty helpful to me.

Toner problems

A couple of suggestions. 1. make sure there is not any plastic shipping tabs that need to be removed from the cartridge. 2. try reseating the cartridge. 3. Try replacing that cyan cartridge. It may be defective. Also make sure you use Minolta brand toners!
