Broken glass top range

I have Yamaha RX-v473 can not turn on , I try tone+info+power still not working. It’s have other way to turn no power ?

Cast iron is NOT recommended to be used on a glass cook top due to its weight and potential for damaging the surface. Cast iron also heats rapidly and retains heat for a long time. Its great for gas stoves, but not a good idea for a glass surface.

The best cookware to use should be lighter in weight, have even heating properties with a SMOOTH flat cooking surface on the bottom for proper heat transfer. Some cookware that IS approved for use on a glass cook top is baked enamel, stainless and copper.

NOTE: Cooper and Stainless can leave marks on the cook top, but these marks do come off with most approved cook top surface cleaners.

the manufactrurer offers a 5 yr mfg warranty for thermal breakage however you need a certified repair establishment to obtain the part under the warranty, you can try calling the mfg yourself and explain that there is a strange lloking broken area in the glass and they may dispatch a local service provider to help you with the problem DO NOT MENTION BROKEN GLASS OR LID OR MOISTURE just say strange broken are on cooktop, otherwise thery are 400$ plus

i cracked mine too. the tops cost enough to make you just wanna buy a new stove.

Pretty much everything on earth CAN be replaced but it will become your call how much you are prepared to spend to accomplish that. I suggest you contact any Frigidaire dealer or repair site and provide them with your model number and ask for a replacement top price. Not sure that helps but it should get you headed in the right direction.. There are also many online appliance part sites that you can get a better feel for the cost of your glass top ..

You can buy just the glass for your glasstop stove. I too need to replace my glass...I have a whilpool electric glasstop. Its not cheap...may just buy new stove. I priced just the glass for my whilpool at the cheapest I can find for $320.00. Thats a lot. Mind you its not the elements under the glass..its just the glass! So...idk bout you, but a whole new stove might be my best option. If you want to price the glass for your model just keyword search your number and brand of stove and type replacement glass. GOODLUCK! :)

All you can do is to have it replaced.
Most housemold insurance covers for this sort of accident.

whats the entire model number?? and you cracked the main top glass assy??? ill look up tha part for you, not a teribly hard job, but depending on glass may be expensive

Not that I know of, you can still use unless it crosses (the crack) one of the elements. That is a high dollar part, hope you can live with it.

NO,  I would not recommend this at all.  However, I have seen the stoves used without one of the inner glasses with no problems.   I am a factory servicer for frigidaire and have seen people use these with one of the glasses broken and haven't seen a problem yet.
