How long does it run? some cars will run the fan for a few minutes to ensure that too much heat does not build up under the hood. Wait for 5 minutes and see if it is still running when the engine is off. If it is you may have a bad temperature sensor. Does the engine temperature gauge work properly?
Try cutting power to the indoor and outdoor units for a couple of minutes. Restore power and see if the error returns. The A1 error for this line of units indicates high compressor discharge temperature, which translates to overheating outdoor unit.
If this error code remains after a hard power reset, it's time to pick up the phone. Either you have a refrigerant leak which has resulted in a loss of freon, or a blockage in the refrigerant plumbing that is backing up pressure in the system. Both conditions will require a major repair by an authorized service tech to get your heat pump up and running again.
Sounds like the thermal paste between the heatsink and the CPU (or GPU) has dried out. This is not an easy job for a novice and should be done by a PC engineer.
hmmm, you could try booting into bios (hitting del key at bootup) and see what the internal temp readings are. Laptops have tricky cooling schemes that usually rely on one fan and heat pipes. If I were you I would backup my data and take it to a qualified laptop repair shop.
This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked. You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.
Fans are typically a little noisey. If it's exceptionally loud or continues for a long time it may indicate the fan is no providing the proper cooling. Purchase a laptop cooling pad to place under the laptop while your useing it and make sure nothing is interfering with the airflow around the unit.
I think the bearings in your fan are failing. When that happens there is a lot of resistance to turning to overcome because the bearings are dirty and dragging. You might be able to jolt it into running off and on but it won't run at full speed and it probably won't cool your system adequately. You just need to get the fan changed. It could damage your system running it without a fan. CPU's develope a lot of heat in a short amount of time.
the cpu cooling fins may be clogged up try a can of air small short burst to all open vents including the fans (make sure the laptop is off) if this doesnot return it to normal the laptop may be experiancing a hardware issue
Even when the key is off with the engine cool after a few minutes? Or just a few minutes after it is turned off with the key?
Check or change your thermostat and flush the radiator with the heater running on hot as it can be. Can you see inside the radiator? If you can is the water flowing good? If it is not after you change you thermostat and it still runs hot then it is your water pump. Is it running hot?
