How do u eject DVD on proscan pled 2488a? Tv with built in DVD player

Technician's Assistant: Can you guesstimate how old your Proscan is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?

The remote does not seem to have an eject key.

Technician's Assistant: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem with all sources/inputs?

The menu seems to work, but it does not seem to show an eject key either.

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been an issue? What happened right before this popped up?

We recently purchased this TV. The first DVD is still in the slot because we cannot determine how to eject it.

Switch source to DVD, then the lower buttons hit the button with arrow pointing up. Or the eject on tv.

SOURCE: dvd player

SOME dvd players have a small hole in the front... just large enough for an opened up paper clip to fit into. If yours has this, unplug your machine and insert an unfolded paper clip into this hole and gently press the mechanical eject switch. If you don't have this feature, your only hope is to disassemble the bottom of your set and spin the eject motor by hand to remove your disk.

SOURCE: DVD Hook up to Proscan TV

if using RCA connector cables, connect the left and right audio cables to D and D1, then connect the Video cable to the video connector right above the S Video port.

I have a Proscan TV model PLED-26616a and I've connect a DVD on HDMI 2 input. When I select this from source panel, a panel of configuratioon appear and I don't see the DVD content

You may care to use another HDMI port to see if it works at all. Change the cords around. If you like using one HDMI source, get an HDMI Switch box from MonoJet.com.
For about 10 bucks, the switch box solves a lot of problems.

I have a Proscan pledv2488a. There is a disk in the DVD player, but I cannot find a way to eject it. There appears to be no eject button on the remote. What can be done?

Do you have the original remote or a universal remote? On the original remote, the Eject button is also the Favorites (FAV) button. It's just below the Volume - section of the Volume toggle on the left side of the remote. The button has an upwards arrow above a line on it. You probably need to set the source to DVD for the Eject button to work properly. (If the source is TV, the button will add or delete the current channel to the Favorites list.) You can cycle through the input source options by pressing the Source button on the TV or the remote. On the TV, the Source button is between the Power and Menu buttons. On the remote, the Source button is on the right hand side above the Up arrow key.

The manual for the PLEDV2488A is available from Proscan at the manufacturer's site: http://www.proscanvideo.com/product/PLEDV2488A . Click on the Downloads tab. The direct link is http://legacy.curtisint.com/html/CustService/Manuals/PRO_PLEDV2488A_EN.pdf . Page 8 describes the remote buttons.

I hope this helps.

How do you eject the DVD

I you can't do it with the Remote control, you might be able to do it on the TV itself.
I'm not positive about this, but there should be a button on the back outer-edge of the TV that may control the DVD player.

If not, here is a link to Download the manual. Scroll down & click on 'Guides + Info' and then the download link.

My dvd is stuck inside of the TV. How can I get it out?

If the motors want unload it then you will have to take the player and walk it out by hand. Sound like some bad problems with the dvd player.

DVD input channel reads "no signal" when I try to play a DVD

First I would run a dvd cleaner in unit! Second you could take tv apart and look to see if signal cable is loose. the power wire seem fine as it powers up, and accepts an eject dvd.
