First test your microphone to see if it is working properly. Click on Start All Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Sound recorder and record your voice and play it back. If it does not work, then reinstall the microphone driver and test again. When the microphone works then open Skype and configure the Audio settings. For details on configuring the microphone in Skype, click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r6522317-skype_microphone_problem
Hello Mithmar hi, try setting the volume for your microphone, (i'm assuming you are using X P) to do this right click the speaker icon (or the mixer icon) on the lower right side of your screen, you will go to the volume controls section, goto options, then properties, select recording. check the microphone, then click apply/ok. On the mixer there is now the microphone slider. Test your microphone by loading the sound recorder program (start, all programs, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder, press the red button) then shout to the microphone, you should see wave patterns on the recorder, your microphone is working fine. at this point let me know your progress.
Are you suggesting laptop microphone or externally connected microphone. If its externally connected, ensure the microphone adapter is rightly connected to the microphone jack.
Condenser microphones need phantom power (48V) to operate. Some condenser mics use batteries to work and get around using phantom power from an audio mixer. hope this helps
yes you need a seperate controller for each instrument. as well as a seperate one for the microphone it can be confusing because unlike the other instruments it doesnt actually connect to the microphone.
Firs of all I like to remind you the model that you have doesn't come with integrated microphone. However It will work any standard PC microphone that you can obtain around few dollars or less from IT stores. All you need to plug the microphone to the right side second socket socket as illustrated below
If issue persist please post further I will provide assistance accordingly
