Multimedia audio drivers for hp pavilion dv4000

I upgraded my hp pavilion dv4000 laptop to windows 7and it says multimedia audio driver is not installed

No audio driver for xp

download from hp this driver to your my_documents folder and install the software for the driver... then restart your computer

does this work... solution

or goto start > control panel > system > device manager show up

look at your audio device in the list... does it have a yellow explaination point.. no driver installe


a red mark mean on the audio device means that the sound chip is bad... and you need to ship the board to a repair shop ... or rma the laptop for repair if still under warranty

also go under the bios to be sure the sound is turned on .. there sometimes is an option to turn off the sound functionality

Go to HP's website and search the model number of your PC. You will see options for downloading the drivers for it.

hi frind

u need to install your lapotop driver when install driver then sound come so install your motherboard driver cd in your lapotop

if u not have driver cd tell me your laptop model no so i can give u link to downlod driver
