Cant get rid of blinking error message, nothing works

I have the copier on, but the display message says: system error [H4-00] refer to user guide. I have tried everything, even ended up covered in ink toner from head to toe. The "!" blinking light will not disappear. I have done everything it tells me to do in the Operator's manual for basic function. Nothing is working and i'm at the office and i need my copier working ASAP! Please Please help

Tried this fix but nothing changes on my display. I may be pressing the wrong "pause" button. My macjine has a "redial/pause" button but I do not have one with the = sign and an arrow.

    Any other idea is appreciated.

The correct buttons to push in order to get into the service mode on a 162D are [#] key, [*] key, [C] key and [*] key. Then you key in 14 - 00 and press the Start key. If that fails to bring your machine back on, you'll have to replace the fusing assembly.

Error H4-00 refers to the fuser not heating to the proper temperature. The H4-00 code must be reset in order for the copier to attempt to come to ready again. You can reset the code using the following : Press "#" Press "Interrupt" Press "Clear" Press"Interrupt" (This puts the machine in service mode) Note: The interrupt key is also called the pause key & looks like an equal sign with an arrow pointing to it. Once in service mode- Press 14 Then Press the Start button Press the "all clear" key to get out of service mode. You may have to turn the machine off & back on to get it to attempt to come to ready. If after clearing the code & power cycling machine you still get the H4-00 code you most likely have a blown fuser lamp or thermo fuse, & I would suggest contacting a service provider for replacement of the lamp or fuse. Good Luck!!

I have a FO-2080 fax machine and it is displaying a message system error (E1-00) and will not work at all.

Page 69 on operation manual suite Source: http://files.sharpusa.com/Downloads/ForBusiness/DocumentSystems/FaxMachines/Manuals/fax_man_FO2080_suite.pdf
Error indicator is lit or blinking.
SYSTEM ERROR [XX - XX] REFER TO USER GUIDE
When [L1-00] appears, the scan head locking switch is locked. Turn off the power, release the scan head locking switch, and turn the power back on page 13 on the manual
The machine will not function. Turn the power switch off, wait about 10 seconds, and then turn on the switch again. If this does not clear the error, remove the power cord from the outlet, and contact your SHARP service center.

Error was E1 could you please let me know what this error means

Devices with computer display area are expected to display malfunctions usually as an error where a numberical figure may have an idication of condition. Usually the error messages withd evices should least require ascertaining the syntax symbols. Once experienced, refer to experts to resolve or refer to user guide to resore malfunction. Disregard the syntax messages since is a computer code least humanly perceivable.

MESSAGE: SYSTEM ERROR (H4-00) REFER TU USER GUIDE

We had this problem when the power was fluctuating in our building. I called Sharp and they told me to clear this condition with the following code: #*C* and when the screen shows 00-00 enter 14 and press the green copy buton. This worked on the AL-1655CS. On the AL-1631 we had to do a similar thing: C<auto>C<auto> 14 <copy>

Cant get rid of blinking error message, nothing works

The [H4-00] system error popped up when the power went out of the house. I called Sharp tech support (1-630-378-3590) and was talking to their tech support in less than a minute.

The FIX? Just press the following keystrokes:
# * C * This will clear the display error, now press…14, then press the green button twice. This should let your printer start to warm up and you have fixed your problem.

Cant get rid of blinking error message, nothing works

H4-00 is a fuser related service code. you need to get into the simulation programs and run sim 14 to reset the code. Make sure there is no paper jammed in the fuser. (The hot part on the right side inside the door)
