The Breadman:
In the Breadman, you always add all the liquids ingredients first. If your recipe calls for salt, you add the salt to the liquid because it will ruin the yeast if they get mixed together. Then you all all dry ingredients except the yeast which is added last. You make a small indention on top of the dry ingredients then add the yeast.

Need a new oven door

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Your model is missing the last few digits i.e AD____
(fill in the blank)

It should be: MAYTAG MGS5870AD___

Mainly for reasons of color

Your oven door has to be rebuilt piece by piece. You can find all of the parts at the link below but, make sure you have the right model number before ordering.

If I can be of more assistance to you just reply here. We get notified of any responses and I will respond accordingly.

Kenmore oven model 790 takes a long time to come on. when it does it makes a big bang

Hi the reason you are hearing a big bang is because your igniter is old and needs to be replaced. Over time these igniters don't get up to the temp needed to ignite the gas quick enough but they do draw the amps in order to open the gas valve. so what happens is the oven fills with gas and then when the igniter finally ignites the gas you hear a boom because the oven is full of gas. replace the igniter and you will be all set. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike
