Whirlpool AKZ451 oven not working properly

The fuse tripped while preheating the oven. After resetting the fuse, everything works except the oven will not heat; the grill still works, and the digital display works. I've seen similar problems posted online, but no solutions. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have a chef fan forced wall oven model number EOC624W - everything working except there is no heat

Check the house circuit breaker for the oven. If 240 isn't present, everything else will work except the heating element. The circuit breaker will have it's handles joined so if one trips they both trip. Unfortunately, this doesn't always work, Meaning one can trip without tripping the other so only 120 volts is supplied to the oven.

I have whirlpool oven akz451/ix/01. My element is square when I look for a new one they are all round ?? Will this work in my cooker ??

whirlpool service center /agent will have a correct element for your unit
the shape is probably for a more even heat distribution in the oven as it will cover the floor/ top area of the oven better

Our RBD275 whirlpool double oven just quit while the oven was preheating. There are no lights in the oven and nothing on the display. The breaker was not tripped. I turned off the breaker for 2 minutes and...

Here is a link to the service manual. look on page 12, troubleshooting. If nothing else works, you need to have the wiring check by a licensed electrician, you oven runs on 220 volts. A defective circuit breaker is my best guess. As you know this requires 2 breakers to operate. If even one breaker is defective the stove will not operate. Often the breakers are paired together with a bar or clip. One can still be tripped, but held in place by the good one.

I hope this helps.

My Maytag oven was shut off when a breaker was tripped. We turned everything back on however the clock says " 5ab" and none of the buttons work to reset the clock. Without this function, we can't...

That is the sabbath feature, to get it or defeat it:

1. Push the PREHEAT pad and set the oven
temperature to 500°F/260°C or more using the UP
ARROW pad.
2. Push the PREHEAT pad within the next 2 seconds
for 3-4 seconds. A beep sounds and a number
appears in red to the right of the display. For the
conversion, "3" must be displayed. If another number
is displayed, push the PREHEAT pad and select
"3".
3. Push the UP or DOWN ARROW pad to change
from 12 hour to 9999 in the display, for no 12 hour
shut-off.
4. Push the CANCEL pad to confirm your choice.

Thanks for using Fixya, let me know.

Whirlpool oven AKZ451 - no power to it

If on a separate power supply I would first recommend checking your electric distribution board and check if any circuit breakers have tripped or any fuses blown. It should be clearly marked on the board. If so reset/replace and you might be OK for the moment but would have the oven checked out if problem persists.

If all OK there come back to me and we can do further checks.

Hope I have resolved you question, but please leave positive feedback if so , as it still takes time to answer questions and it would just be nice to know if I have helped.

Whirlpool Wall Oven not working

It is likely the Thermal Cut-Off (TCO) fuse, which for many Whirlpool ovens is located on the back of the unit. Turn the circuit breaker for the oven OFF first. You'll need to remove the trim on the left and right side of the oven (2 screws) and then remove the screws holding the oven in the wall. You can locate it easy enough by looking for the thermal fuse on any of the major appliance part websites. The test is simple enough if you have an Ohm meter, as it will be an open circuit if it is blown. There is only one fuse (normally) so if it is blown neither the bake or broil element will work. There should be a Tech Sheet located behind the control panel which will help, but if you don't feel comfortable doing this call a service tech.
