Water Pump leaks from the front end of the Wagon.

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
  1. Determine the Reason for Water Pump Failure
    • 1 Repair a water pump by checking your car for a failure in the bearings. You can test for bearing failure by seeing if there is any play in the shaft that is connected to the electrical fan blades, as well as the drive pulley to the pump itself.
    • 2 If you notice any free play in the shaft or the pulley, you will need to take the pump apart and replace the bearings.

    • 3 Determine if the water pump failure is due to a leak in the casing. Examine the water pump housing for leaking or water stains in the drainage hole next to the pulley.
    • 4 If water is dripping from this hole, then the seals inside the pump need to replaced in order to repair the pump.
Remove the Water Pump for Repair
    • 5 Allow the engine to cool completely before removing any part of the cooling system. Never open a radiator cap or plug while the engine is still warm.
    • 6 Disconnect the car battery. This will prevent the electrical fan from turning on while you are under the hood.
    • 7 Drain the radiator of all fluid and disconnect the radiator hoses. Collect the fluid with a plastic container and keep it in a safe place until you are ready to put it back into the radiator.
    • 8 Remove the fan assembly. This will include the shroud, the fan and the fan belt. Disconnect the electrical leads for the fan.
    • 9 Remove the pulley for the fan belt as well in order to have access to the water pump.
    • 10 Use a socket set to remove the water pump from its engine mount.
    • 11 Open the housing for the water pump and replace the seals or bearing as necessary. Some auto parts stores carry repair kits that have both the seals and bearings for specific types of water pumps.
    • 12 Reassemble the cooling system by replacing the water pump, pulley, fan belt, fan assembly and radiator hoses. Refill the radiator with the fluid.
    • 13 Start the engine to see if the water pump repair was successful. Check for leaks before you take the car out on the road.

Water Inlet Valve
If the hose connections are good to the water inlet valve check that water is not leaking from the valve itself it is replace the water inlet valve.

Drain Pump
Check the drain pump housing and all hose connections. The drain pump is down under neath. To disassemble your washer follow the appropiate tutorial. Hoses can be tightened. If hoses or pump housing is leaking replace the pump assembly.

Tub Seal
This is in the center of the tub. The seal is inexpensive but will require some labor to install. Check the tutorials on disassembling the cabinet then remove the agitater and inner tub. Enter your model # above for a diagram or illustration.

How do i replace water pump on 93 gmc safari

Locate the cooling fan in front of the radiator...when you remove the serpentine belt and fan assembly (including the pulley)..usually 4 bolts on the front of the fan...you can see the water pump...Sometimes you can ask your Parts store to show you the new part...(water-pump) this can help identify what needs to be removed in order to replace...Use gasket sealant on the new assembly, and I also recommend the anti-freeze that is labeled "For All Models"...for longevity and cooling...You do not have to remove the radiator or anything else...Hope this helps...:)

My whirlpool washer agitates but will not pump out the water. I thought the timer switch assembly was bad so I replaced it. Still no water pump. I can not find the Model Number tag on the washer...

Drain Pump Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. To determine if anything is blocking the drain pump, remove the drain pump and check the pump for obstructions. If the drain pump is clear of obstructions, but is still noisy during the drain cycle, replace the drain pump.

The pump makes a noise but no water

First, the obviouis, make sure the water is turned on under the sink. Check for kinks in the fill hose. It may be the float assembly or float switch.

Check the float to make sure it moves freely up and down, and it should click when it moves. Remove float and clean around the float tube-you may need to do this from below, through the access panel. Use white vinegar to scrub the float and shaft assembly. Turn on the dishwasher to see if this fixed the problem.

If not, it may be the float switch. If you are handy with electrical repairs, turn off the power to the dishwasher, pull the dishwasher from the wall and remove the back. Remove the wires from the terminals on the float switch-use masking tape to identify to identify terminals, noteing which belongs where.Remove old switch and replace with the new float switch. You will need the serial number, model number and make of your dishwasher to order the new float.

How to replace water pump of 1976 ford e-250

Hello, follow this steps to replace the water pump:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, using a screwdriver to unscrew the clamp that secures the cable to the negative (-) post. Pull the cable away from the battery post.
2. Use a jack to elevate the Ford Taurus and use jack stands to shore up the jack. Alternately, you can use tire ramps.

3. Discharge the pressure in the radiator by unscrewing the cap. Remove the drain plug located underneath the radiator. Catch the coolant in a resealable container. Clean up any spills.

4. Disconnect or remove the parts in front of the water pump, using an adjustable wrench. In order, this includes the right inner splash shield, lower heater hose, upper and lower tube bolts from radiator, air cleaner assembly, battery and battery tray, water pump belt, upper radiator hose, engine vent hose, trans axle 10-pin connector, radiator bypass hose and thermostat housing.

5. Remove the water pump mounting nuts and connector hose. Unbolt the water pump from the mount. Clean off the mounting area with a shop rag.

INSTALLING THE NEW WATER PUMP:

1. Inspect the new water pump to ensure it's identical to the old pump and free of any metal splinters or debris.

2. Arrange the new gasket onto the water pump. Place a bead of high temperature automotive sealant around the area where you removed the old pump and hold the gasket in place on the new water pump as you mount the entire assembly on top of the sealant.

3. Place the new nuts into the holes in the Ford Taurus' water pump in any order for the S-type engine and in a cross configuration on the U-type engine. Using a torque wrench while the sealant is still wet to obtain a better hold, tighten to 15 foot pounds of torque.

4. Reassemble the other engine parts in the order they came off the Ford using an adjustable wrench. Replace worn parts with new ones, as needed.

5. Replace the drain plug and refill the radiator with the amount and type of coolant specified in your owner's manual. Remove the jack stands and release the jack or drive the ford off the tire ramps.

6. Attach the negative battery cable to the post and tighten the screw on the clamp. Start the engine and check for leaks. Then, close the hood

Thanks

I have a top loading model. It is leaking water.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

See the section for the basket and tub assembly's

I'd pull the cabinet in order to get to the hoses going to and from the pump first.

See the following:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131

If the hoses are fine, check the shaft from the motor to the pump and check inside the pump to make sure the inlet and outlet aren't blocked.

I'd also check the gaskets at the bottom of the tub.

If you're reasonably mechanically inclined, these are easy fixes.

If you have to get to the gaskets at the bottom of the tub, see the following for how to remove the agitators, pump, motor, transmission, spin tube and basket.

(It sounds a bit complicated but it's not really that difficult.)

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=137

You don't have to buy a special spanner wrench to remove the spanner nut. I've used a short 10" pipe wrench hooked over one of the tabs on the spanner nut, tap the handle with a hammer and it should loosen.

Also, don't directly hit the drive block with a hammer. Use a short piece of wood under the drive block and tap up on the wood.

As an aside, see the following Whirlpool Service Manual for top load direct drive washers.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

Depending on the problem (hoses or gasket) it's certainly less expensive than calling in a repair person.
