You must first uninstall the printer from the Control Panel. Reboot the PC. Then reinstall the printer with the printer NOT connected. Then connect the printer and allow Windows to detect the printer and load its drivers. When you get a message in the right bottom corner of the screen "The new HW has been installed and is ready for use" then fireup the word processor and set this printer as default printer and start printing. All the best to you.
Epson POS driver will not install on a Win2K3 machine due to the InstallShield Wizard w/c checks if your running XP/2K or not.
Download the driver from EPSON POS site & extract the contents first on an XP machine.(Installing the driver will create a C:\Epson folder where ACTUAL driver is extracted).
