no it is not because  compaq c3 1000 windows vista  is not good as windows 98 or the new windows 7

Cant find such a scanner, are you sure of the model "performance", If it is not Vista compatable, ie if Epson have not released a Vista driver, then it is not going to work with Vista.

See Epson web and download driver if available, if not change scanner or operating system or purchase software

Check your Epson product CD to see if it already contains Windows Vista drivers. If the CD indicates support for Windows Vista, follow the instructions that came with your Epson product to install your driver and other software.

If your Epson CD does not indicate support for Windows Vista, DO NOT INSERT YOUR EPSON PRODUCT SOFTWARE CD IN YOUR WINDOWS VISTA COMPUTER because the setup program is not compatible with Windows Vista. Products that are not Vista compatable are not capatable with Vista, who would figure hey!!

I had the same problem with mine. All you have to do is search these keywords: Virgin, MPF-1000, Driver, Download

When you search those keywords you should have quite a few options to download the drivers needed. Anyway, here are a few links to the software and/or drivers needed for you to be able to get your Virgin Pulse MPF-1000 working.

That will be all you need to do. Once you have installed the driver, plug the MP3 into the USB. Once you plug it in the autoplay should come up and just go from there. Please let me know if this solves your problem.

It is designed for Windows XP, running DirectX 9.
You can try running Backwards Compatibility that Windows Vista provides backwards compatability with win32 operating systems.
Only warning is that not all programs run efficiently and there might be bugs because of the different Operating Systems and the OS software was built for.
