How to clean the fan - HP DV6-1238NR (YA843UA) PC Notebook

You can Clean your Laptop's Fan by blowing air from mouth to the fan's exit while fan is running or you can use blower also. It will blow out all the dust and cleans your Fan. After that you can feel the smooth running of your laptop's fan

Tower fans- Clean your fan by using the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner to vacuum the intake grills to remove lint and dirt. For safety purposes, never open these units for any reason.

Take the computer apart and clean the fan you can use a vacuum to get the big clumps out and a cue-tip to clean the fan. The heat sink should be fine after all this.

mcdevito75 here, Believe it or not, I use a good quality spray cleaner like Mr. Clean, a spray that removes dirt and then you wipe clean, I use the sray, let it soak, then with a garden hose clean it off. The fan motors are sealed so you don"t have to worry too much of water in the motors, still don't direct the water hose stream directly onto the fan motors, also allow the fan to dry real good, out in the sun. I never had a problem with mine useing this technique of cleaning.

I have had good results using a product called Scott's
Liquid Gold. It's available in many stores including grocery stores. I started using it to clean up console televisions after repairing them. Make sure you wipe it clean after using it. The residue will attract dust if you don't. It's sort of a "super Pledge"

u can clean ur fan by using a scrubber making ita little wet with sopy water then cleaning it with cloth.please be careful nt to make ur fans motor or electric circuit wet

How do I open vornado fan (model eh1)so I could clean fan blades?

hi! there,
well! no brand and model,anyway the guard fan has a quick clip lockaround the fan blade,be sure to unplug your electric fan before doing this, unlock clip lock then the fan has a quick handy lock knob at the center of the fan observed loosening knob there is direction arrow in loosening this if i'm wrong going counter clockwise,or take the direction indicated marked on top of knob.
pull out the blade and have it clean if this is a plastic or aluminum clean it with water and spounge/cleanser,avoid to distorsion on fan blade if happen this will wiggle when run again be carefull and on the second guard fan still connected to your electric fan,there is plastic lock nut release and pull out the 2nd fan guard,try to clean this with water and cleanser,the motor assembly with control and stand just wipe it out ,don't try to get wet specially the motor,let all dried up before reassemble.reverse the process to eassembly
