Cannot install printer hp670c completely

You can download the HP printer drivers from their supportWEB site. Please click on this link and
select your model printer to download the prointer driver.
Note the location where the printer file is downloaded and when the file has completed downloading, then double click on this file to start the printer driver installation.

Click on the link below to download the Printer Drivers and later install them.

After you download the file, run the file to start installation and complete the installation.
Disconnect the Printer cable before the installation starts and connect it when asked to.
If for any reasons, it does not recognize the printer connected, complete the installation by clicking on the option ( I will connect the printer later ) and complete the installation.
Then Click on the Diagnostic download option below to run the diagnostic tool to diagnose the issue.

My Suggestion would be to completely uninstall the software and reinstall it using the Download Drivers option above in this solution.

try the xp drivers and keep an eye on the hp website for new updates as far as drivers for windows vista should work fine just make sure any antivirus is turned off before install.

Select your operating system
Select where to download(save) file (preferably under My Received Files) or where you will find it again.
Disconnect printer from pc
Once download is complete goto folder where file was saved.
Double click on file and installation will begin
Connect printer when prompted to do so.

2. Under the ALL-IN-ONES heading select FLATBED and then your printer model.
3. Under the Drivers & Downloads section select WINDOWS. Download the most current version of the Printer Driver and Scanner TWAIN Drivers to your DESKTOP for your Windows operating system. You can also download the Status Monitor, if listed.

Scanner Installation
1) Before beginning, ensure the cable for the printer is disconnected and the printer is turned off.
2) Locate and double click on the downloaded Twain driver installation file.
3) Click on OK at the first WinZip screen.
4) Click on UNZIP at the second WinZip screen.
5) Click on OK when WinZip is finished extracting files.
6) Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Printer Installation
1) Locate and double click on the downloaded Printer Driver installation file on your DESKTOP.
2) Click on OK at the first WinZip screen.
3) Click on UNZIP at the second WinZip screen.
4) Click on OK when WinZip is finished extracting files.
5) At the PRINTER UTILITY SETUP screen, click on OK.
6) The installer will now copy files to the computer. When this step is complete, it will tell you to attach the cable and power on the printer. Please connect the USB cable and turn on the printer.
7) The computer will install the new hardware.
8) Click on OK when the driver installation is completed.
Status Monitor 3 Installation (optional)
1) DOUBLE-CLICK on the downloaded file.
2) Make sure the STATUS MONITOR is highlighted and then click on OK. The installer will now copy the necessary files to your computer.
3) When finished click OK and restart your computer.
