Mic wont work when i try to video chat on aol instant messanger

Also, you can use instant messaging if you sign into your mail through the website mail.aol.com From there, look for the yellow running man icon on the right. You can then click on that and sign in AIM (it stands for Aol Instant Messaging).

1. On the VIM sign-in window click on Edit.
2. Then click on Settings Enhanced IM.
3. Next click on Enhanced IM.
4. Then click on Audio Video.
5. The Audio and Video portion has drop downs so you can select the proper audio card and video camera installed in you computer.

Dont use yahoo messenger for ACER ASPIRE ONE not compatible, I suggest use SKYPE messenger text chat, video and voice call as well work great.

Yahoo messenger work only video and text chat only but voice call not work.

Skype messenger works video and voice call works perfectly.

Try testing it, last time I checked skype has a test section, its hard to find, but its there. You just talk into the mic and skype records it. Then play back.

It is possible the mic isn't working.

Before you consider taking it back, make sure you follow the instructions to the letter.
