No Audio for vocals track on DVDs

HI!
I just bought a Philips Home Theater System HTS 3568. Till day before it was working fine. Today I am trying to watch some movies but there is no audio for the vocal track on the speakers.

It is hooked up to a Sony Bravia 32'' S400 through an HD cable and everything was working fine till last night.

Help on how to sort this issue out.

Thanks

If the audio is going into the television then you have to set the audio output to 2 channel. if you are using all the supplied speakers, then the audio output should be set to 5.1 /6 CH

Region:0 should appear on the screen

Switch player off, then on again

I cant get the surround sound to work with the tv stations but it will work with DVDs

Not much detail to work with here. Your cable box (?) should have a digital audio output. Use it if your HTS has an input for it. Otherwise, analog audio from the box or TV won't produce true surround, but most HTS can simulate it.

I have tried now 5 different Transformer 2 DVDs in my stand alone DVD player and NONE of them work. Every other recent release DVD (Star Trek, etc.) work just fine - what's up???

Are you using an HDMI cable? Make sure all your devices are HDCP compatible. This is a copywrite protection encryption created by Intel protecting digital entertainment content.

Will play dvds with sound fine...but no sound from tv

You have to connect extra red & white audio cable from your TV's (or cable box, if you have one) AUDIO OUT to the Home Theater's AUX IN 2 at the back (below Video In). Set the HTS unit to AUX 2 using the AUX button on the remote control and you should be able to get sound.

Is my tv audio doomed or will the home theatre system work anyways.

some devices these days have a built in volume control, try using your remote for which ever dvd player or satalite bix you use, on push the volume up button on it while you have the volume on the tv maxed out so that you will be able to tell a defference if it works or not.

Philips HTS6510 Sound Problem

you seem to be having a "phase cancellation" problem
Are you sure the speakers are connected properly ? one of them might be connected in reverse - the + is in the - slot in one of the speakers which will cause phase cancellation problems, in other words, signals that are coming from both speakers will cancel out each other because one of the speakers is working in reverse phase.
Check wikipedia for phase cancellation.

Phillips 6500 home theater system

Turn the power off, and then unplug the home theater from the wall outlet. Plug it back in after about 30 seconds, and turn it back on. If it still won't eject, then the HTS needs repair. Philips will replace it if it is still in warranty.
