have you tried cleaning the lens? do not use cotton buds or touch the lens , use a dvd lens cleaning cd , as there may be dirt on your lens or the discs are dirty, if this does not work it is possible that you require to have the lazer replaced. good luck
You just want to hook up the audio out to an audio in on the home theater system. If you give me the make/model of your home theater system I may be able to give you a more descriptive answer. Thanks, lee
To open the tray this is not a perfect fix, but it will allow to use it.
After the unit is powered on:
1)Hit the "Open/Close" button
2)Wait a while (you will get the timing down with practice)
3)Tap gently, yet briskly with fingertips at area in the attached pic, that the red arrow points to
I think the problem is that the tray becomes unbalanced somehow. Because when a DVD is in, the drive opens fine, only when there is no disc do you have to tap on the unit.
Is it connected to 5.1 amp??.The first thing to try is to go to set up menu and change the audio o/p to pcm track.See if this works. What has more than likely happened is unit is set to dolby digital and should be on pcm track instead. If this doesnt work more than likely fault in unit but have seen very few audio problems with dvds.
