Because they are made in China. No Quality Control whatsoever. Also most times you are being sold a cheap charger to maximize profits. Look on eBay and buy a higher end charger for your laptop. Instead of buying one of the low end chargers for under $10, try one for maybe $30.

Got a Ryobi charger that was plugged in on 220v and varistor looks burned, if I change varistor?would that fix the problem??

A varistor, also known as a voltage-dependent resistor (VDR), is a component that helps to protect electronic devices from voltage surges. If the varistor in your Ryobi charger looks burned, it is likely that it has been damaged by a voltage surge and will need to be replaced.
Replacing the varistor may fix the problem, but it is important to keep in mind that the charger may have sustained other damage. It is also important to identify and correct the underlying issue that caused the varistor to burn out in the first place.
It is also important to verify the charger's specifications and the voltage you are using, as some chargers can be damaged if connected to a voltage that does not match with the charger's specifications.
If you are not familiar with electronics repair, it might be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem. Additionally, you can share pictures of the inside of the charger, this way the technician can have a better understanding of the problem and can guide you better.

Will not turn on

If tablet keeps burning out charges it is due to the fact that an internal short in the tablet is making the charging unit exceed its parameters and allowing it to burn itself out. The issue is with the tablet, not the chargers.

Laptop charger smells

Laptops (esp. older ones) should never be left plugged in 24/7. You need to stop using the charger (the problem is only in the charger and NOT the laptop?) and replace it. The burning smell is something overheating which can lead to a fire and sparks are rarely a good sign.

I'd cut the cord on the charger, so it can't be used again and replace it.

garmin navs are famous for there chargers burning out. first check the fuse at the end of the 12v car charger by unscrewing the tip of.if its blown replace it. if its not blown then the charger has burned out there are after market chargers but only garmin chargers will work!! as garmin use a sensor to detect the correct type of charger is connected so be sure to buy a genuine garmin 12v charger

I bought my daughter and son each a 7'' mini netbook laptop for christmas my daughter went to charge hers and the charger started smoking. we thought it was just a bad charger but we tried to charge hers...

1. it seems there is some manufacturing defect in the electric wiring of that laptop. take it back to the dealer and replace it (it's still in warranty)!

2. you should check the electric port where u plugged ur charger using any other equipment, like mobile charger!

Without a panasonic SDR-S7 charger...

Before connecting the charger keep these in mind: volts current in amperes, polarity. If anything goes out of range your camera may burn out. Don't try a 'min' or 'max' just use the exact charger ratings. In electronic stores there are these variable adapters available on which the output can be varied. Get one of those, they are cheap and you can use them to charge multiple items.

Dangers of a Motorola being left on when charging in a multilpe

Don't know if you'd call it dangerous, but wisedom would be not to leave a radio turned on while on the charger. 1) Shortened battery life due to short charging. The battery will never be fully charged due to powering the radio. 2) Inadvertently pressing the PTT button while the radio on the charger can/will burn out components in the radio including the PA (final amp) which is a costly repair.

Instead of leaving the radio turned on while on the charger, buy a second battery to keep on the charger. Then you only need to swap batteries. Your radio would be able to remain on, and never be on the charger.
