Please be very careful. I do not recommend pushing it, since it has glass components.

We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week with a one-year guarantee.

At our site, we have a video showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your model number) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Hi i have Samsung Model GE0103MB microwave and i took it for repairs and the bottom switch is not engaging

It sounds like you are having difficulty with the bottom switch on your Samsung Model GE0103MB microwave not engaging with the door release button. This can prevent the microwave from functioning properly and could be caused by a few different issues:
  1. Make sure that the switch is properly connected to the door release button. The switch may have been installed incorrectly during the repair process, which could prevent it from engaging properly.
  2. Check the door release button to ensure that it is not damaged or malfunctioning. The door release button could be preventing the switch from engaging properly.
  3. Check the wiring connections to the switch and door release button to ensure that they are secure and not damaged.
  4. If you are having difficulty assembling the microwave, I suggest you to try and get the service manual or a diagram of the assembly process for your specific model GE0103MB. You can try searching for it online or contacting Samsung customer service, as they may be able to provide you with the information you need.
  5. If the problem persists, you may want to contact a qualified technician to service the microwave and inspect the door switch and door release button.
It's important to note that working on a microwave oven can be dangerous and should only be attempted by someone who is familiar with the inner workings of the device, and have the proper tools and equipment.

Microwave external underside light no longer works

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights fan can be inoperable or stuck on or no bright, too. Sometimes this will similarly affect the exhaust fan operation, too.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

MH6150XMT Turntable and Magnetron do not engage

Looking at the schematic from the mini-manual for this model, the problem should be the secondary (top) door interlock switch or its mount.

(Power-wise, the hood / cooling fan is further "upstream" from the turntable and high voltage section).

There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. Other times, it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

One test that sometimes helps is to gently lift up (and / or push down) on the door or handle as you try to start it. If it works or tries to work, then it's a door switch mount or door alignment issue.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa:.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Stuck Microwave door

In most cases this is due to a broken door opening lever or loose or broken door latch / hook parts. They can only be accessed and examined if the cover is removed from the microwave. In many over the range models, you can access the door parts by removing the control panel assembly. Sometimes you may be able to get it open by pushing up gently on the bottom of the door while pushing the button, in case you need to empty it.
