There is an error code on my fridge it says ER IF on the water dispensor.

It's possible it was installed improperly.... try removing it and re-installing. May have a filter that is clogged... only way to determine this is to replace it with another new one.

Is your fridge compartment temperature in the region of 2 ~ 6 C range. Is your fridge food not going bad. Then dispensor water should be cool. Cool water tank is normally hidden inside fridge compartment. Lowest temp is around 2 ~ 6 C range.

If you keep on taking water rapidly then there is no time for the cooling tank to cool. You are just pushing house water through the water dispensor.

I have the same problem as JJ1764... I keep getting the same error code ER IF and all the ice melted and water was everywhere... If I turn off the fridge and then turn again it clears for a few minutes but then goes back to the same thing...Why is this happening?

I recently had this message on my Westinghouse fridge. The CN and ER message stands for Connection Error. This is due to a power surge.
I suggest you disconnect the power cord from the powerpoint and switch off for 5 minutes.
When connecting, if you have a double power point use the other head as the initial one may be faulty and this may have caused the power surge.
Hopefully this will fix the CN ER message to disappear.

This is an error code for the icemaker fan motor.
If the control does not see a signal coming back from the fan motor you will get this error code.

The ER IF code indicates a failure of the icing fan.

You may notice slower ice production but the other fans should be okay.

You can select the ultra ice option and see if the fan toggles on.

The fan or the control is bad.

You probably need a new water valve in the back of the fridge the valve is not shutting off completely  replacing valve will correct this problem
