Compaq nc8230 stuck in startup loop after system restore to earlier date

Did a system recovery to earlier time and restarted. Now it's stuck in a startup loop. This is what it does: HP screen, windows logo, flashes blue screen, prompts to start windows normally. If I select start normally, it goes through that process again.

I did the suggested "on startup time press F8 for no of times. From option click repair and continue with instruction,When asking for password ,change user name and click enter" I don't have this option in my advanced options menu. These are the following choices:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    safe mode with command prompt

    Enable boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
Last known good configuration <--Tried that already
    Directory services restore mode
    Debugging mode
Disable automatic restart on system failure

    Start windows normally
    Reboot
    Return to OS choices menu

Windows7 stuck in loop

go to a local pc repair shop and have them burn you a windows disk for your version....the license is on a sticker on your PC, the Media (or disk,) doesn't matter for licensing purposes.

You can then attempt a start-up repair. boot from the cd, choose 'repair my computer', then choose the top radio button regarding advanced startup or recovery tools.

My Presario CQ60 is stuck in recovery manager mode. I keeps going to startup repair.

Problems starting up a PC can be tricky to fix, since Windows hasn't had a chance to load its arsenal of troubleshooting tools. Some people simply give up and reinstall Windows.

Startup Repair can prevent a time-consuming reinstallation by diagnosing and repairing problems that prevent Windows from starting.

Startup Repair is designed to start automatically if Windows detects a startup problem. For more information about using Startup Repair, and what to do if it doesn't start automatically
