Hello Goodman007,

Please click here to download the driver for your printer. (you might also do it if you have the CD to instal the printer)

You will have to uninstal the printer driver (you can do this by going yo start -> control panel -> add/removeprograms ->search for your printer driver and uninstall it)

Then reinstall your printer and the error message should be gone,

Good luck and anything else you need let me know,
Dahaka

The HP printer software may load a service named PML Driver HPZ12, which is added to the services section of msconfig. This service handles many functions pertaining to the communication between the computer and the printer. However, many of these functions are not related to printing, so you can fix the “Access Denied” error by disabling the service.

TIME.dll file might be deleted accidentally. That's why it is showing the problem.

The best solution would be to re-install the software of your printer. If you don't have the required software, then you can download it from this link:

Hi James,

The dll to which you refer is actually for a Lexmark printer -- did you have a Lexmark printer previously? Is your current printer working? If so, you can fix this problem by doing the following:

  1. Go to Start>RUN
  2. Type in msconfig
  3. Click Ok
  4. Go to the Startup tab
  5. Look for the entry:
  6. rundll32 [path] LXBTtime.dll,_RunDLLEntry@16
  7. c:windowssystem32spooldriversw32x86LXBTtime.dll
  8. Uncheck it
  9. Click Apply, then OK
  10. Reboot
If this doesn't work, could you please try unistalling and reinstalling the software that came with your printer? (And if you had a previous printer, please uninstall any software that came with this as well before proceeding).

If your printer is working fine than you do no have to restore this file. You need to

click start>Run>Type MSCONFIG> click OK

In the window Click the SRARTUP Tab

You will see an entry showing the same location as you mentioned. Uncheck the same.
Click APPLY and OK.
Restart the computer when prompted for the same.

IF the printer is also not working that you have no other option but the Uninstall and Reinstall the Driver

Hi,

Probably best would be to delete the printer from your Printers & Faxes and do a clean/fresh re-install of the HP Printer. Additionally before running the re-install, verify that the file time.dll has been removed when you performed the uninstall or if still present, rename it to something like time.dll.org

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Try updating the drivers of your printer. Right click on MyComputer then click on Properties. Click on Hardware then Device Manager. Look for your printer. It will be under USB device. Right click on your printer then select Update drivers.

You may also want to uninstall and reinstall your printer. If you don't have the driver, you may download it here:

Try this to kill the dependancy services that are not starting:

Remove all Print Spooler service dependencies other than the Remote Procedure Call service.

1 Click Start, Run and enter sc config spooler depend= RPCSS
(there must be a space after "=" but not before it.)

2. By removing the other dependencies the Print Spooler service should be able to run, but the printer functionality may be affected, and it may be necessary to reinstall the printer drivers.

3. Don't forget to go back to services.msc
Right-click Print Spooler, and then click Properties.
Make sure that the startup type is set to Automatic. If it is not, click Automatic in the Startup type list, and then click Apply.

4. Under Service status, click Start.

5. Click OK to close the Print Spooler Properties dialog box

Otherwise you need to go for reinstall the printer and its driver.

Regards,
Ellin

Emachines T4010 won't start up, says image checksum, and that an image is corrupted

Receiving a bad image checksum error message when upgrading a computer to Windows XP means that a Windows system file such as user32.dll is damaged. This error occurs when any damaged system file is encountered that isn't overwritten during Setup. The repair process for this error involves voiding the damaged dynamic link library file from the DOS command line prompt and replacing it with a new copy from the Windows XP disk.

Insert a clean Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (ME) or Microsoft Windows 98 Edition startup disk into the computer, and hold the reset button on the front of the computer until the system commences rebooting. Navigate the Windows startup menu with the keyboard's directional keys and select 'Start Computer with CD-ROM Support'. Hit "Enter" to continue. Write down your CD-ROM's drive letter on a piece of paper. At the command prompt, type "Drive:" without quotes (Drive should be replaced with the drive letter on which Windows is installed), and press "Enter." Type "cd windows\system32" without quotes, and press "Enter." Type "ren user32.dll user32.old" without quotes and again press "Enter." This renames your damaged user32.dll file so it is not recognized by the system, but still physically exists as a backup if needed in the future. Eject the Windows ME or 98 disk, and insert the Windows XP disk. At the command prompt, type "extract CDROMDrive:\i386\user32.dl_ Drive:\windows\system32\user32.dll" without quotes, replacing CDROMDrive with the CD-ROM's drive letter that you made a note of earlier, and replacing Drive with the system's drive letter on which Windows is installed. Hit "Enter" to execute the command. This process extracts a new copy of the user32.dll file to your hard disk, from the Windows XP CD. The new file will be found in the Windows/System32 directory. Restart the system by holding the reset button on the front of the tower until reboot commences.

Canon i350 not recognised by any applications

This is quite a long one so be prepared: Assuming you use IE7 on Win XP FIRST: Are you using a Packard Bell machine or do you have "Surfairy" installed? If so you need to remove Surfairy. To see if it is present if you are not sure use the windows search facility to look for surfairy in my computer. It would also be usefull if you could post the exact text (if any) contained within the Script Error window. Second: pen a new notepad session, to be called IE_fix.cmd, and copy/paste the below: regsvr32 urlmon.dll regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll regsvr32 Msjava.dll regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll regsvr32 Mshtml.dll regsvr32 Browseui.dll regsvr32 Shell32.dll regsvr32 Ole32.dll Save the file, then double click IE_fix.cmd and answer the prompts. Ignore any error messages. Reboot and test. If the problem remains follow the method below Start, Run, SFC /Scannow (Have your XP CD Handy. Note that this command does not give feedback on the repairs it makes. The repairs are listed in your Event Logs.) The error may be linked to a missing/corrupt system file in XP that IE 7 exposes. A repair reinstallatiion of XP will fix it, but the above steps are less drastic.

Hi Basti here,
Try this...
If you are receiving SPOOL.SVC or PRINT SPOOLER ERRORS when trying to uninstall/reinstall your printer, or when trying to print a document or access the printer properties, please follow the steps below.

The following are examples of some of the messages you may be receiving:

Spool.svc is not running. Make the service active and try again.
Printer Properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running.
Printer cannot be removed. The print spooler service is not running.
Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup.
(When clicking Add Printer) Operation could not be completed.

NOTE: Only these types of errors warrant the troubleshooting steps clearly defined below.

Resolution:

SPOOL.SVC is an operating system function which carries files through the operating system for printing. It must be STARTED (active) to be able to print or access any printer's functions. This file usually starts automatically with Windows, however operating system issues may cause it to become stopped. You cannot uninstall or reinstall a driver while this service is stopped.

Please try the following to start the service again:

1) Click on START, right click MY COMPUTER, left click MANAGE.
2) On the left column, double-left click SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS, then click SERVICES.
3) Locate and highlight the PRINT SPOOLER on the list of Services.
4) Click START THE SERVICE.

If errors occur and the service cannot be started, there is another issue within the operating system itself.

No printing

Well this issue must be related to the drivers of the printer, possibly incompatibility. Let's try to fix it with the easiest method.
First uninstall the driver after the printer is disconnected from the computer. Then run a registry cleaner (click here to download a freeware registry cleaner) to clear any unwanted registry files. You'll also need to clean the system using the feature with this application.
Now download this driver Hplaserjet 2100 windows vista32 (if your system is 32 bit) or hplaserjet 2100 windows vista64. Extract the files to a specific folder and follow the instructions as follows;
Click "Start" , select "Settings/control panel" and click the "Printers" folder.
Double-click "Add Printer".or click "File" on the menu and select "Add printer"
The "Add Printer wizard" will open. Select "My computer" then click "Next".
Select LPT1 (whether directly connected or networked) and click "Next".
Click "Have Disk".
Click "Browse".
The Locate file window will come up saying a: "is not accessible" . Click "Cancel".
Under "Look in" select the folder where the file is saved.
Highlight "HPLAOUT.INF" and click "Ok".
The Install from Disk window will reappear, click "Ok".
Select "HP LaserJet 2100 Series PCL 6" and click "Next".
Select the "Replace existing driver" option and click "Next". (This window will not come up if the uninstaller was used).
Select Not Shared and click "Next" .
Select "Yes" and then click "Finish".
Please don't skip even a step from the uninstall process. And do let me know when you are done.

Till then, Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I WANNA INSTALL XP2 BUT MY SYSTEM SHOWS ERROR: C000022UNKNOWN HARD ERRORSYSTEMROOTSYSTEM32NTDLL.DLL

  1. This problem may occur if the file that is described in the error message is corrupted. The following files are checked for integrity when Microsoft Windows XP starts:
  2. All driver files (except those that are loaded by the system loader to start. the computer)
  3. All dynamic-link libraries (DLLs), including User, Graphics Device Interface (GDI), Shell, Kernel, Ntdll, Crtdll, and others.
  4. This problem may occur if you install an inappropriate driver for your hardware. For example, you receive one of the error messages that are described in the "Summary" section if you install a MIPS driver on an X86-based computer.

This problem may occur if an Iomega Zip drive is on the same integrated device electronics (IDE) cable as the hard disk drive.
  5. To resolve this problem, obtain a new copy of the corrupted file or reinstall Windows XP. If you continue to receive any one of the error messages that are described in the "Summary" section after you reinstall Windows XP, a hardware problem or a network problem may exist.
  6. This error message may be displayed in many different formats, including an error message that is displayed on a blue screen or an error message that is displayed in a dialog box. The type of format that the error message is displayed in depends on how much of the operating system was loaded when the corrupted file was detected.
