Maytag clock You said you fixed this on yours last year. Help, please. My clock display now shows this after trying to reset the clock for the time change. It also locked the display, so I can't seem to get it to do anything. How did you fix yours last year?

Nevermind. Thanks for the "sabbath" hint... found the technical manual online and got out of that mode.

    Thanks again,

After a power outage of approximately 45 minutes i have no display

Hello
There is a Lithium battery inside your clock to get a backup even the power is interrupted for a long time. This battery may last up to 3 years eventhough there is no power to the device. If this has gone weak, the backup fucntion will not be. so check this battery.
Just reset the device. It will make it work properly. To reset the clock after total memory loss; do the folloing.

[1] Connect the radio to your AC outlet and let the clock set itself.

[2] Depress the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons together. The display will change
from 'Time'to 'Year'

While holding the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons, press the SET + button
to set the display to the correct Year, then release the buttons
OK.

When I press BAKE to preheat the oven or CLOCK to set the time the display goes blank, then the number 30 appears, and then the clock time resets itself. I can still use the oven to preheat or bake, but...

I have the same problem. I bought it new in the fall of 2007. They replaced the control panel but that didn't help. Next they replaced the whole range with a new one, same model, still the same problem. They told me it was a problem with my electric in my house. Then they said it was a strange electro-magnetic field in my neighborhood and I would have to buy a different brand?
One time with the original stove the oven quit working and I had to re-set the breaker. Everything still works but the clock is always wrong.
We bought all Maytag stuff, including fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The kitchen stuff is 4 years old. The washer and dryer are 3 years old. We have had this issue with the stove, the washing machine broke and they had to replace the whole drum assembly, and last week my refrigerator broke. Very disappointed with Maytag stuff.
So has anyone found a solution?

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If you still have trouble, since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Maytag slide in range - MES5752BAW - when you press BAKE or BROIL the power cycles off and the number 30 flashes on the display then the power cycles back on and the clock is reset to 12:01.

I had similar issue with my Maytag slide in range MES5552BAB. Pressing Bake or Broil would sporatically cause clock display to go blank, show "30" then reset clock to 12:00. Under warranty, the service technicians replaced the clock unit twice. On last visit the range performed the error while technician present.

The suspected problem is that the clock unit is experiencing high frequency interference.
The proposed solution is to place noise suppressors on L1, L2 and Ground wires at the clock. (Noise suppressor: Ferrite beads, Sears Part #12001500.) Reverse L1 and L2 at the pigtail terminal block.

Daylight Savings Times Changed

Directions for Resetting the Daylight Savings Time (DST) Start & End Dates on the Emerson Research Smartset Dual Alarm Clock Radio (cks5055s):
  • This should work for all Smartsets, but I cannot make the guarantee (and no, I don't have any other directions, sorry)!
  • Adjusting the DST Start Date on an Emerson Research Smartset:
    1. Depress & hold the MONTH/DATE and the ALARM1 buttons (at the same time). After 3 seconds the display will show the DST 'start' month, week, and date. It should be alternately showing "4 F" (April and first week week) and "4. 1".
    2. While still holding the MONT/DATE and the ALARM1 buttons, press the DOWN (or "-") button 3 times, until the display is showing "3" (March) and the week as "F2". It should alternately flash "3 F2" and "3. 11".
    3. After this is set, the clock should "automatically" reset itself
  • Adjusting the DST End Date on an Emerson Research Smartset:
    1. Depress & hold the MONTH/DATE and the ALARM2 buttons (at the same time). After 3 seconds the display will show the DST 'end' month, week, and date. It should be alternately showing "10 L" (October and last week week) and "10. 28".
    2. While still holding the MONT/DATE and the ALARM1 buttons, press the UP (or "+") button 1 time, until the display is showing "11" (November) and the week as "F". It should alternately flash "11 F" and "11. 4".
    3. After this is set, the clock should "automatically" reset itself
One thing to note, if you ever have to change the lithium backup battery for the Smartset clocks, it will revert back to it's factory defaults and you'll have to go through his all over again.

Oven display won't work

rmedrano, Try pressing and holding the stop-time and cancel pads together for 5 seconds, see if it comes back to life. If not, try the cancel and clock keypads together for 3 seconds. First is the control lock-out funtion and the second is the display blank mode. If these fail to work, you are going to have to test for power at the board. The clock (ERC) has a 3 year warranty incase you have to call for service. Catriver.post back.
