We have a Maytag ceramic top (model MES5770AAA). Today we had a particularly bad power outage. The electricity flickered on and off many times before dying out. Before the power went out completely, the oven display dimly showed the clock and kept turning the lock mode on and off. Once the power was restored about 6 hours later, we reset all GFI outlets and all circuit breakers. However, the oven clock did not display again, and nothing happens when any of the buttons are pressed. The four burners and the oven light work fine. The display is just dead, so the oven is useless. Everything else in the house is fine. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Rmedrano, Try pressing and holding the stop-time and cancel pads together for 5 seconds, see if it comes back to life. If not, try the cancel and clock keypads together for 3 seconds. First is the control lock-out funtion and the second is the display blank mode. If these fail to work, you are going to have to test for power at the board. The clock (ERC) has a 3 year warranty incase you have to call for service. Catriver.post back.
