We own a RF267AARS/XXA refrigerator. Ice maker works slow. Hardly ever makes a full tray of ice in 24 hrs. Then for no reason quits making ice for 2-3 days. I the pull the ice-tray out a couple of times and then within 6-10 hrs it'll start making ice slowly. We always get ice from the dispensor located on front door. We only pull ice-tray out when it quits making ice. Samsung RF267AABP i get one batch (about 6 pieces) of ice a day.   somebody help.

I have the same exact problem. I have the rf267aars model. I absolutely love the product, except the ice maker. I works when it wants to. I press the reset button, it makes one tray of ice then quits. Samsung will do nothing. I just got off of the phone with them again!! They want me to call service and pay for it all. I only have a household of 2 people. We run out of ice EVERY weekend. I had to buy a portable ice maker. It cranks out 12 cubes every 9 minutes. The Samsung icemaker, when it works, only cranks out 6 every 2 1/2 hours. I have never heard of such crazyness. I will probably purchase another icemaker online and install it myself. If I can find out if this will fix the problem

You'll have to read my in depth review on Epinions.com for answers. Sounds like you bought the updated version that over corrects the "too much" ice which jams the mechanism to where it breaks the unit. This is my second friggen Samsung as my 1st 4 door quatro was replaced under their lemon law. Spending $2500 I thought I was buying quaility, instead I bought greif. I'm still working with Best Buy to get Samsung to fix the icemaker with it's current problem which sounds like yours. Go to the Epinions website and look me up, my username is "walkerpkw" My review was posted last year. Read both my horrifying Samsung reviews. Something is very wrong with their engineering department. You'll find my email address on my profile page. I'd be happy to inform you if the get this fixed. I'm told it's the fridges computer board and they're redisigning another?

Ice maker on whirlpool quit working .

If it's like my Samsung, there is a reset micro switch button in front of the box containing the ice cube tray. Press it and the machine resets, the ice cube tray rotates, dumping the cubes. It then rights itself and fills with water. Hope this helps.

I have noticed that my ice maker is not filling up.. i emptied and then put it back on again.. barely any ice is filling in the bucket.. its been 24 hrs.. what could be the problem? Iam not sure of the...

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Is it filling all the way to make a full tray? If not you may need to replace the water filter. If the water pressure to the unit is low it will slow down the icemaker also. I would start with the filter and water pressure. The only other thing is the thermostat in the ice maker but if the freezer temps are ok and the icemaker is producing some ice im sure the thermostat is ok.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

Ice maker not dumping ice

Hi: Not knowing how long it's been hooked up... Ice production can take as long as 72 hrs to start. Usually 24 to 48 hrs. The freezer also has to be stable at 0 degrees F to start producing ice. The tray mab be full but it wont dump untill 0 degrees F. Another thing is it's human nature to keep opening the freezer to see if Ice has been made. This justs dumps the cold air out and will slow the ice production. Just because your food is frozen dosn't mean it is at 0 degrees F. Ice cream should be rock hard. Try setting your freezer colder and allow 24 hrs for it to stabilize. This is the best try and it usually works, before calling a tech. I hope this helps, Jeff

Two issues

Well here is How I fixed My French Door Ice Maker, It made the same loud crashing sounds, and seldom put out much ice. To the point that it made no ice at all.

First, Make sure you can get water out of the front, if not, your water lines may be clogged.

The second thing you can do is hit the secret RESET button on the upper front side of the ice maker. See my first image for it's location, it is a soft rubber button.

The third thing.. In my case the reset button worked for a little bit. But eventually stopped. I had to remove the ice maker, and found that that several rows of ice had gotten stuck. The swinging arm that smacks the ice out would just strip the gears banging that ice to no avail. So opening the ice maker up and cleaning it out helped. I also cleaned the sensor contact with some alcohol. It is a thin metal strip close to where the gearing housing is. This I believe is ultimately where the problem starts. It allows the trays to get overfilled, and the ice can't be released. Once I cleaned out the tray of stuck ice, cleaned the sensor, plugged it back in, and hit the reset button once more, It was making loads of ice once again. If this fails, you can get a complete new ice maker online, I found a vendor on eBay selling it for a reasonable $80. You can use my pictures to see how to disassemble for repair ore replacement. My fridge by the way is the RF267AARS.

the part number is: DA97-05554A

It works with the following refrigerators
Samsung RF267AABP Samsung RF267AABP/XAA Samsung RF267AARS Samsung RF267AARS/XAA Samsung RF267AASH/XAA Samsung RF267AAWP/XAA

KITCHENAID MODEL KSRJ25CNST-00 FRIDGE QUIT MAKING ICE WITH OUT ANY WARNING. WTER IS WORKING.

I have this model and it has stopped making ice for two different reasons. These solutions may not fix your particular problem, but they worked for me.

Problem #1: the water inlet to the ice tray is frozen shut.
Solution #1: Raise the door that hides the ice tray. The water inlet is the black rubber nozzle on the right-hand side that points down into the ice maker. Squeeze the rubber nozzle between your fingers to break up any ice that may have formed inside the nozzle. This will clear the water path into the ice maker. Lower the ice tray door.

Problem #2: an ice cube is stuck in the ice tray.
Solution #2: Raise the door that hides the ice tray. Look for any pieces of ice that were not completely ejected from the ice tray - they are usually partially ejected and are very easy to see. Carefully (but it may require a good deal of force) remove ice cube from tray. Lower the ice tray door.

I hope this helps.
