A problem with machine

My washer states there is a problem and beeps at me. When I turn it off and replug it the machine will start but will not drain and states there is a problem and beeps again. What can be wrong with it?

The washer has a field service mode. To enter the service mode: 1. Press the POWER key to turn the washer on. Make sure the HOME screen is displayed. 2. Press HELP. 3. Press and hold MY CYCLES and BACK simultaneously for 3 seconds. The display should display any recorded errors. write them down, including all MORE screens. This should be enough to get you started. Note: You must press EXIT and unplug the washer to clear all error messages and to activate the setup mode program. After repairs are made, you have to run a setup / self diagnostic check to get washer operating again. (prompts on screen when plugged back in and turned on) We can't ask for or give out email's, however if it slipped in an ask me maybe some scanned pages from a service manual might be had. This is most likely an involved exchange. Don't know how much info (ie: free time and advice) I'll be able to allow.

You may find my response to another Harmony owner helpful. He wanted to know how difficult a motor change would be.

It is very easy to replace the motor, however you most likely only have to replace the Hall sensor on the motor. To do either, you will have to lay machine on it's side. One bolt takes off outer part of motor, and if I remember correctly, six (10mm socket) bolts to take off the inner parts, plus a couple phillips head screws for wire retainer and ground wire. Hall sensor is the white plastic part clipped on the inner part of the motor.

    Good luck with your repair.

A FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a roper washer 5 years old and it won't drain or turn on now it was working fine yesterday ive unplugged replugged pulled out all the clothes checked power supply and hoses what now?

I looked up your model number. You particular machine allows for wash with the lid open. You nothing happens. On that case I would check the motor capacitor.

My washer did not drain and start to beep every second

Hi just read your posting. If your machine is beeping then a series of lights will be lit and these lights will be in a row of 8 lights.Starting from the left to right on the row which lights are lit when the machine is beeping,Is it the 2nd and 4th or the 1st and 7th ---etc---?Try this also if your machine is not draining.Bail some water out by hand from the machine ,enough to lean the machine back so you can look under the machine. Now when you can see under the machine ,look to the front right and you will see a black fan. This is your pump. Now turn the fan a few times to loosen the pump. The fan should turn freely. Now put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push start. The machine should start to drain. Please reply on how you got on and with the information on the lights that are lit.Looking forward to your reply.

My GE washer wbvh5300kww beeps at me when I hit start

I am also having this problem as well. Trying to seek (once again) a solution as having to plug/unplug the washer before each use is really annoying.
Can anyone tell me how to run the test mode for this washer? I don't see that detail anywhere in my manual. Thanks.

Error Message "LOC" Three beeps, won't door lock or start

You may have to remove the lower front panel to get to the tech manual. If the door latch isn't latching though nothing is going to happen.

Stops drains and bleeps with only spin light illuminated

It sounds like you need to re programme the
machine.
With the machine plugged into the wall and
turned on and the headset turned off this is what
you do.
Push and hold down the start button, while doing that you need to then push and hold down the power button.
Hold them down for about 5 seconds, during
which time you may a series of up to 3 beeps.
Then release the buttons.
Turn the machine off and then on again followed by the start button. Allow the machine to then run the complete cycle.
This should correct your problem, if this doesn't then you may need to then look at replacing the computer panels.

Frigidaire front loading washer stopped at rinse cycle. 3 beeps

When in doubt check the easiest thing to check. The pump can cause a number of errors to come up. Since the unit stopped in rinse I would start but checking to make sure there is nothing obstructing the pump before going to the expensive parts.

Control panel lights up but washer will not run

Press "end of cycle" button to clear screen. Maybe your previous washer was here........drain pipe.
Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. Important: height of drain hose is abt 3 feet from ground level.
