My washer states there is a problem and beeps at me. When I turn it off and replug it the machine will start but will not drain and states there is a problem and beeps again. What can be wrong with it?
The washer has a field service mode. To enter the service mode: 1. Press the POWER key to turn the washer on. Make sure the HOME screen is displayed. 2. Press HELP. 3. Press and hold MY CYCLES and BACK simultaneously for 3 seconds. The display should display any recorded errors. write them down, including all MORE screens. This should be enough to get you started. Note: You must press EXIT and unplug the washer to clear all error messages and to activate the setup mode program. After repairs are made, you have to run a setup / self diagnostic check to get washer operating again. (prompts on screen when plugged back in and turned on) We can't ask for or give out email's, however if it slipped in an ask me maybe some scanned pages from a service manual might be had. This is most likely an involved exchange. Don't know how much info (ie: free time and advice) I'll be able to allow.
You may find my response to another Harmony owner helpful. He wanted to know how difficult a motor change would be.
It is very easy to replace the motor, however you most likely only have to replace the Hall sensor on the motor. To do either, you will have to lay machine on it's side. One bolt takes off outer part of motor, and if I remember correctly, six (10mm socket) bolts to take off the inner parts, plus a couple phillips head screws for wire retainer and ground wire. Hall sensor is the white plastic part clipped on the inner part of the motor.
Good luck with your repair.
A FixYa rating would be appreciated. Thanks.
