Dropped my lcd projector and get a blurry image on the screen

If the text on your Epson EB-S05 projector is appearing blurry or shadowed, there are several possible causes and solutions to consider:

the lcd panels is easy to be broken (Life time :about 3 years)

the color of the menu on the screen is becoming blurry,

the black words appears reddish. it is not enough black

there is no relationship between the color with the lamp

you need a new whole prism (with 3 LCD panels)

Sounds dumb on this one but make sure the lens is cleaned. Other then that check the manual for operating range of lens to screen. Typically somewhere in the area of 8 to 12 feet.

Clean the lens on the front, turn on the projector and wait for it to heat up, then turn the plastic ring on the front to change your focus. computer image can't be made blurry because of software. Blurriness is always something to do with the lens.

Hold the FN+CRT/LCD or (it could be an icon/image of a screen) simultanesouly and then keep press the CRT/LCD key it should eventually get around to displaying an image on just the projector or projector and laptop screen

Hi There Not sure what you visually describe as "blurry" This could be two things - a typical white screen will waste all the definition and brighteness unless you sit in a dark room Our ICE Digital Daytime Screens will take any projector and make the image up to 2000% brighter with a resolution reseolving ability of 20 million pixels. So in this case the definition you are alluding to could be lack of contrast, image definition due to insufficient light from the projector relative to the lux level of the room. Alternatively the lamp could be getting old. The brightness of a lamp falls off rapidly so as you use it more and more the image will become duller and duller contributing to a "blurry" or image lacking in punch etc.
The technical lamp hour spec life is only a manufacturers "up to xxx hours" and not what you will achieve in actual life.

my dear friend, it appears that you must have opened the 3 lcd screws that are not supposed to be touched, if so then just forget reassembling the same as the convergence would be lost & cannot be manually done
another thing are the polarisers.if excessive dust had accumulated & if you used wrong technique in cleaning then the coating would have come off & you have lost everything , just change the entire lcd block.this costs a bomb.beter to buy a new projector

Well, that's a general statement. If you are looking to have the image look like a HDTV then you have the wrong impression of the projector's capabilities. At 800x600 resolution you will get a "good" but not great image especially if compared to a tube tv or plasma/lcd. If the graphics are sharp when you press the menu key then you probably do not have an issue. If, however, even the graphics are blurry, then you have to manually adjust the Grey outer focus ring on the lens. The inner ring will adjust the zoom. Hope this helps.

you may have touched the bulb while changing it and minute traces of skin oil are on the actual bulb, with the machine cold, try and very carefully clean the bulb
