Your refrigerator uses the common GE WR55X10942 control board. On most models you can just swap out the control boards. Some models require a few additional steps, you will have to check your serial number to see if that applies to your model (see instruction sheet included with the control board).

First unplug the refrigerator.

On the back of the refrigerator, there is a panel. Remove the screws and the panel cover.

Unplug wires from the old control board (note where the wires go), and plug them into the new control board.

Plug refrigerator back in and test out.

What motherboard is fitted to an Asus a6000km laptop and where can I get a replacement

It's an ASUS motherboard, and the only places to get a replacement are ASUS, or if you're lucky, you might find a motherboard on eBay.

However, a laptop motherboard is not a "user-replaceable" part.

Just "trash" the laptop, and buy a new one at a "Boxing Day/Week Sale" at the local big-box computer/electronics store -- it will cheaper than paying ASUS for a replacement motherboard.

Motherboard replacement question

You should be fine. Once the MoBo (if it is an exact replacement) is in and your box is completely assembled you should be good to go. I don't know why you are expecting a BSOD though?

I hope this helps,
