TV not working when turned on

I keep losing this page so I hope you get this one. When I turned off the TV last night, everything was normal. This AM when I used the remote to turn it on, the green "ON" light on the front panel came on but nothing happened. There was NO blue screen. The screen was just blank as if it were not turned on. I could not get the green light to turn to amber (OFF) until I unplugged the unit. I tried the "Display" button and nothing happened. (green light was on). I have Comcast Cable which I rebooted several times, but nothing. I am sure it is the TV. Any ideas? Thanks

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Hello, The blinking pattern you're observing is a result of a heavy current load on the power supply. The power supply could be defective but more than likely the scan or sustain boards have a direct short on them causing the power supply to shut down and display the error. A technician will be able to determine where the load is coming from and replace the appropriate board or component. I hope this helps you. Joe Weibel CustomElectronics.Org

SOURCE: MAxent plasma will not turn on

open the back and reseat the LVDS cable(looks kinda like a computer data cable)...also check your other circuit board connectors..literally unplug the connectors..and reseat them...Question...is the set working now?...or is it not coming on?

I am Having the same problem as PScott. I will open my TV this weekend wil a friend who is a electrical technitian. We hope that ther is any schematics inside the TV though..

Have two basic colors blue and yellow or green as the combination all other colors are grey. What are my options...The Boston Celtics Colors are Grey. All others colors are good.

If your philips tv keeps losing it's stations when you switch it off, this my be a solution -----my 42" tv would need to be retuned every time I wanted to watch it this fault just started over night it was all working fine then sat down to watch tv and had to retune tv from scratch I could then watch telly all night fine change channels no probs all great switch it off next day retune and so it went on if you have this problem switch telly on then hold in menu button on tv until screen goes black (this reboots software) then retune tv as normal it will ask if you want a full retune (yes) when this is complete digital and analogue your tv should now remember channels when switched off and work as it used to ----( Hope this helps you if you have had this problem it worked for me ). TURNED TV OFF LAST NIGHT EVERYTHING WAS FINE. TURNED ON TODAY - NO SOUND, ONLY STATIC

The tv is on the wrong input. Try running through the different tv inputs with the remote. If you have a cable box make sure its on. Hope this helps.

You may have IR interference at night because of other items you turn on at night. Try leaving everything off except your TV and receive, try your remote to make sure it functions. Then turn 1 item on at a time, try the remote to see if it works or stops working. Once it stops working, the last item you turned on is causing the interference. It is then a matter of relocating that item so it won't continue to interfere with the remote functions. I hope this helps.

My tomtom keeps losing sat sig?

update your sat nav by going to the quick gps fix. I recently couldn't get a signal and wonderd why this was happening. You need to do the gps update /fix - I did last night and I tested it this morning and now everything is back to normal!

Quasar TV sp 2724E Loses the picture

Sounds like a failed vertical amplifier circuit. This is normally primarily contained in an integrated circuit mounted on a heatsink.
There are other possibilities along the line but the one above is the most likely.
Now all you need is a TV repair shop that is still in buisness.

when the ps3 is in standby hold down the power button for over 4 seconds, it runs the optimal screen settings page. hope this helps

adjust brightness setting when playing tv.
