Should be ok. It has oil in the transmission but if it is new then the oil shouldnt leak out. However I used to work in a parts dept and i have seen new transmissions that were on their sides leak out. But they werent attatched to the washer.

What has caused my washing machine to leak inside in my jay co sterling van

If you tipped the machine on its side or lay it down while transporting it inside your jay co sterling van then water still trapped inside pump and piping would trickle out.
ie: The machine is never completely empty.

Transporting a Kenmore front load washer and gas dryer

Yes you can lay them down. Some modals call for 24 hour reaping time before you can plugin to run. Reaping meaning some modal have the new R134A coolant in them so if they lay down wait 24 hours before use. Gas you can just lay then down and brace it so it can't move around.

GE model GTS22WCP can I lay it on it's side or back to transport?

it is not recommended to lay an appliance with a compressor, the reason is that the compressor oil will run to one side and the appliance will not function properly. i have heard that if laid down the make sure to stand the appliance upright for several days before plugging it in.

Can I lay down an Emerson 4.6 cu ft refrigerator to fit in my car to transport

Even though it's not the preferred method of transport, it's OK to lay a refrig down for moving, even new R134a if you pay close attention to the refrigerant lines.

Determine where the suction line runs up into the freezer. This is the largest tube connected to the compressor, and is usually (though not always) visible running up the back of the cabinet.

As long as the refrig is laid down on whichever side allows this line to stay 'high', there'll be minimal oil migration, and when you arrive at your destination, just stand it upright for an hour or so and it'll be fine. Obviously, the shorter the trip, the better.

If the suction line runs up the door handle side, just duct-tape the doors securely closed before you lay it down to keep them from opening and getting damaged. It helps to lay a block of wood under the top end, just to keep it inclined a bit, too.

I've been moving refrig's for some 32 years now, and while moving them in an upright position IS best, sometimes you just can't. I work out of a van, and have often laid both refrig's and upright freezers down for transport with no ill effects.

Will this model fold down and fit into a van?

You can release the lever on the side of seat back to fold the seat back forward to that is lays flat on top of the seat bottom. That should give you clearance to transport the power chair inside of a standard van.

Is it ok to transport a refrigerator on it's side?

Not true. Refers since the 1950's are sealed units but for safety's sake let it sit for awhile after you move it.

I need to know if it is possible to transport side by side refrigerators laying flat. or almost flat. This will be a short move for about 1/2 hour.

Hello, Yes you can move your side by side laying on it's back..it is most important though that when you have it in it's new place you leave it unpluged for 24 hours so the oils can run back into the compressor. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment again...Mike

Transporting a washer

Remove the top cover, and put plenty of packing down both sides to prevent the inside parts from moving about, this way it will be o/k to transport it on it's side.
