When my wow pad boots up it goes thru the infotec screen to a lite blue screen it cannot find E:/ to restore or anything it just stays on the blue screen.

Hi, maybe you can take a try of this rescue program called BootSuite. I came across similar blue screen situaiton on my HP laptop (win 7) and it helped me get rid of it and rescued my data back. It is an awesome toolkit that includes a boot CD and several other data rescue tools that help get your PC going even if Windows won't start or computer won't boot up at all. Good luck.

Blue screen when trying to boot windows

you have the "blue screen of death" i had this same problem and the easiest way to fix it is to take the hard drive out and put it into another computer back up all files you want to keep on it have a boot disk for the right windows operating system on it use the boot disk with it once it is back in the right computer and then put all the files you saved back on it. the blue screen of death occurs when there is a registry error on your computer. if the blue screen of death appears again then you need a new computer.

Won't boot - brief blue screen

Press F8 while booting but before it goes into SAFE mode select "Temporarily disable restart." Now you should be able to read the Blue Screen. If this doesn't work it's likely you have the GenericFX virus and you'll need to repair the operating system.

Powermate ES setup cannot find hard drive

Do you have the recovery discs that originally came with the computer? If you do, I would use these to reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows. This would be the fastest option.

To do this:
Insert the disc into the CD-ROM
During boot-up and before the 'Use last known good configuration screen' you're speaking of, it'll ask you do 'hit a key to boot from CD' -- Do so
Follow the on-screen instructions. Your objective is to clean the hard drive completely (reformat) and reinstall windows (recover).

If you do not have the recovery disc that came with the computer, you can use the exact same steps above with a Windows XP disc. Be sure to 'format' and 'install' windows--not just 'repair.'

Re-boot computer when all finished.

Thinkpad R51 Blue screen

First:

does this also happen in safe mode boot. (press F8 just before windows boots). If not then go to your event viewer and check the messages at the specific time, hour messages. for example. computer booted at 23:30. in windows around 23:31:10 and then blue screen. Go to safe mode. and look in the logs what registered at 32:31:10(around this time).

If not possible to boot in safe mode. Try to remove one of the 2 memory dimm(if you have 2). so you boot with 1. maybe 1 of them doesn't work good anymore.
