7B blue screen on regular start or safe mode. 7B blue screen when trying to boot from the xp cd. 7B blue screen when trying to boot with ERD Commander cd. 7B blue screen when trying to boot with either cd and the hard drive disconnected. If I change the hard drive mode to raid from auto it will get a 0X0000024 error when booting from the hard drive, but a 7B error from the boot cd, even with the hard drive disconnected. I have tried connecting both the CD and HD to sata ports 4 and 5 - same result. I changed/moved the memory to different slots. I cleared the CMOS and loaded bios defaults. I'm thinking that the Sata controller on the motherboard is bad, but how can I be sure before I scrap the computer? Thanks, Chris

The problem occurs without the hard drive installed. I'm aware that viruses can cause a blue screen, but not usually when they are not installed.
i am already performed this action i.e, bios default & restart but not remove the error "auto sensing secondary slave hard disk drive"
