I have dell inspiron 1525 my CD is idle how can i boot it plz

first of all you need to backup your data , put the re-installation cd of dell and boot your pc from dvd rom. after completing installation download the latest driver for your laptop from www.dell.com . if you dont have the drivers.

You can remove or change the Window's User oradministrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access todownload the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot upthe laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. I'm sorry to hear about the optical drive not working. For Dell Notebooks, as the BIOS screen comes up (The first screen with the DELL logo), press F12 to get into the boot device menu. If the device you want to use is not in there, arrow key down to the BIOS Setup. Each BIOS menu is different, but about 4 or 5 options down, you should be able to modify the boot order. Change this so that the desired boot device comes before the hard drive. Exit, make sure you have your USB device plugged in and retry it. Please let me know how it goes.

Try changing the BOOT order in the BIOS (F2 or DELat startup) it is probably set to first boot from a USB device and then the hardrive- Have the hardrive first

Seems that there is a cd in the cd drive.take it out and this will be fixed. if not then you will have to reinstall everything data will be lost.you can try pc restore. power on the system and press ctrl and F11 .if this doesn't work then you will have to use the windows cd to reinstall everything.

if you format the hard drive, you delete the restore partition, so you will need get the cd/dvd of vista and re install the software

Make sure you do not have a bootable CD or DVD in the drive. If that does not resolve, then try holding the "home" (Media Direct) button while pressing the Power button on.

your screen got dead pixels you can do this but this is not a perment solution

rub the screen gently at the end of the line (both sides that is top and bottom) the line will disapper but it may come in near future

go into bios by pressing F2 - change the boot order so the cd / dvd drive is the first bootable device and use the installation / recovery disc you got with it and boot from the cd and re install or install windows xp.

If you do not have the cd then you either need to find it or contact dell and see if they have another one with a key ( which may be chargeable )

1.You need the disk
2 insert it into the cd/dvdrom
3. reboot
Follow the prompts..

if its not booting from the CD/DVD you need to set it in the bios the boot order to the CD/DVD
