How do I add 8 GB RAM to MY 1 GB RAM Gateway 834GM system?

Sorry but your system will only upgrade to 2 gig of RAM
http://panam.gateway.com/s/PC/R/5293/5293sp3.shtml
but where your current memory is installed there are two locking levers on each socket one on top one on bottom press on those to release the memory and remove the current memory stick, now when installing the new memory make sure the little notch on the memory stick lines up with the one on the memory socket when your sure its correct just firmly press the new memory stick into the socket the two llever locks should lock automatically if not you can do it manually, take care not to put to much pressure on the memory stick. hope this helps

Hi,

Just get a memory stick and format with FAT32, then put your images on the memory stick and put it in the X360.

In the dashboard go to pictures and copy images across to use them.

Thanks

Add Memory

it depends, you will want to check the type of memory first, and make sure you are purchasing the correct type. Also, if you have memory slots that are different colors, you will want to put the memory in two similar colors. also, i would advise buying a set of 2 1gb sticks of ram that are dual-channel capable, and removing the old memory. Otherwise the old stick of memory will significantly slow down the speed the new stick can run at. Memory is extremely cheap at newegg.com, you can get 2gb ddr2 ram for under $30.

What are the ram limits on a compaq presario 5000a. I put 256 ram in the compaq and it only reads 128. Why?

You can install up to 3 sticks of 512 mb of memory. Did you add a 256 stick to the already-existing 128? You need to put DDR266/PC2100 memory. To troubleshoot, remove the 128 stick and put your 256 in and see if it is recognized. You will know right away from the bios screen. Memory needs to be the same type.

Adding more memory

Yes and no. Depends on the motherboard and the type of memory. On some boards you have to add memory in pairs, others you can add one stick, then there's parity, etc, etc. Check the memory that's on the board, check the manual to see how it recommends you upgrade memory. One wrong stick can turn your new CPU into a nice end table.

Usb cable

Just like sorta of add-on to szwaan's answer:

You must have a memory stick to put music into your psp such as mp3 files, the psp itself does not have any internal memory for you to store any music files whatsoever.

if you got a memory stick already, connect your psp to your computer via usb cable, select usb under the setting section of your psp, and the memory stick drive will appear in your "my computer", so you can drag your music into the Music folder of your memory stick and play them from your psp.
