I used this memory stick on my old PC at home and it was wrking okay. When i put it into the usb port it showed up ad removable E. Now I have upgraded my pc to a laptop it doesent recognise the stick....

I assume when you say "memory stick" that you mean a USB memory stick rather than a Sony memory stick.

You should try it in another USB port (if ther is one on your laptop). If that doesn't work, then try it in another PC - if it doesn't work in another PC either, then it is likely that the memory device is at fault, otherwise. If it works fine on another PC, then it is likely that it is the USB port on your new laptop that is at fault in some manner.

If you have another USB device you can use (anything will do - a mouse, webcam, etc), try it in the port you tried the memory stick in. If nothing happens, then in all likeleyhood, the USB port is at fault. If the other device works, then it is probably the USB memory device that is faulty.

If the device works in another PC, try reformatting it as FAT file system on that PC, and see if you can then see it in your new laptop.

I have loaded photos on to a memory stick. When i put the memory stick in to the printer it says its an unsupported device. What should i do?

this is meaning that the printer do not support a usb memory stick ..and for to print them you will have to hook the printer to a computer and give the printing commends from it ..or ...try a memory card ..
or ..if you know the the printer supported the usb memory stick before see the format of the pictures to be compatible..

I have bought a notebook computer and it does not have a cd rom so how do I install my kodac esp 3 printer into my new notebook have tried several times without any sucsess

Hi Thanks for your question
If you have an access to another PC and a memory stick, flash drive this shouldn't be a hard task.
Put your cd in PC and also put memory stick in USB port. Copy all of the content of CD on to the memory stick. Once copying is completed remove both CD and memory stick form pc.
Place memory stick in your netboot and go to it's content. Once your in main folder click setup and follow instructions.
I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to ask more questions if still in doubt. Good Luck

I was scanning documents 8.5x11 into memory stick using microsoft word just stopped error came up 3015 hp laser jet all in one it scans otherwise except to microsoft word

Next time do not scan directly into an external memory device. Scan first into your hard drive and then copy/move it into your external memory device. It puts a kind of stress on the system; it is processing and copying at the same time.

Seems the stress has broken down your memory stick. To confirm if your memory stick is fully functional, check to see if you still see its icon under My computer. If you do try to copy any file into it. If it copies successfully, it means it is still OK. Then scan into the computer first then transfer into your memory stick. If however, it fails to copy, it means the memory stick is affect. Then you need to know to what extent? At least you need to know it you can recover your memory stick.

To do this, right click on the memory stick icon (under My Computer) and select "format." The Format dialogue box pops up. Format the memory stick. If it formats successfully, your memory stick is recovered. But it fails to format, you have lost your memory stick.

MY OKDIATA 4350 CYCLES ON AND OFF NOT COMPLETING RAM CHECK. I WILL OPEN THE LID AND THE UNIT WILL STAY ON WITH ERROR CODE FOR OPEN LID THEN SHUT LID AND PRINTER CYCLES ON AND OFF RUNNING PART WAY THROUGH...

If you have more then one stick of memory in that printer then try putting one stick of memory in one slot then the other and turn on the printer after each stick reinsertion.

If you still get the error message then try the other memory stick and repeat the process to see if the error message still appears, sounds like a memory problem to me.

If you have other memory you can test in there, I would suggest that.

If you try new memory and the printer can cycle thru the RAM test then you know that the ram you have is bad.

If you try new memory but the system is still failing the ram check then you know its a system board problem.

Will read memory stick

Memory Stick Pro Duo is NOT in the list of supported flash media for the RX500.

However I would expect the machine would be able to read the memory stick. Have you tried more than one Memory Stick Pro Duo? If not try another one and see of the problem persists. If it does, contact Epson and ask if the machine should read the format.

It is possible that the capacity and density is outside the range of the machine.
