It won't play for one of two reasons: 1. There is something inside the DVD player, which keeps it from playing. 2. The DVD player's battery has run out of juice and can no longer play, meaning the player needs to be replaced.
this problem you are encountering is common with most portable DVD player's. The problem most at times is coming from the flex or screen inverter. The flex eventually worn out as a result of regular opening and closing of the player.
The screen displaying white is a symptom of bad flex or inverter.
To confirm, insert a disc into the player, press play. You should hear sound coming out of the speaker of the portable player even as it is playing.
Furthermore, connect an AV cord from the portable DVD player to your TV and you will eventually find out that it is going to display on your TV.
Having done the above, and having confirmed that the flex/inverter is that cause of the problem, please get back to me so that I may direct you further on what to do next.
Very Good Daniel,
if you are good with a srewdriver.. you could use a DVD from a computer and swap it to disney
Does the door to DVD slides out or pop the lid.
You still can swap if you are careful and you know what you are doing
I've done a few times.
Let me know in the future, if you can't, you can send to me for repair
try cleaning the lense inside the dvd player with a cue tip and rubbing alc or the cd, if that doesnt work then close the door and listen if the cd is spinning if not the motor to spin the dvd is shot if that works there should be a little botton that tells the dvd player the hatch is closed press that and look at the lense to see if the lense has a red glow to it. if not your laser diode is fried. it also could be that your firmware is corrupt from being droped but with lots of hard searching on the internet you can accually get the firmware onto it if it takes usb.
