If you find the model number, you can probably find the manual online. For Kenmore appliances, try Manage My Life and enter the model number in the search box. If the model is in the database, you will get two possible links. One is to a PDF of the manual; the other will be for the searspartsdirect parts lists. For some ovens, you can buy a hard copy of the manual.
If you prefer to call, then call Sears Parts DIrect at 1-800-252-1698. The hours are M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central . (This source will also have some manuals for other brands sold at Sears.)
The model number will be on a plaque somewhere on the appliance. For a range: you may find the information just below the control panel, on the frame of the oven (inside the door), on the frame of the range behind the storage door or near one of the legs of the unit. Wall ovens usually have the model information either below the control panel or on the frame of the oven door or behind the storage drawer (if there is one). Cooktops usually have the model information on the edge of one of the burners. The location will vary depending on the specific unit.
