I have a flatbed scanner HP 5370 and the drivers are for Windows XP, but my computer has Windows 7 HOME BASIC. I have also downloaded view scan but still its not working.

There are no oficial drivers for windows 7 for that model of scaner.

Your unit is not compatible with W 7 ( no driver available ) . Try in compatibility mode ( right click on the icon on your desk and select " troubleshoot compatibility" ) . It sometimes work , sometimes not .

Check out this site it may be of some use to you, Hp does not support this scaner for windows 7. you will have to use microsoft scaner software to use it with windows 7.

HP does not have a Windows 7 driver for this device. However, you should try the Vista driver - you may find this works.

Check www.driverguide.com but dont shoot the messanger as some of there drivers cost a whopping $2.95 cents but i did say some so it may not pertain to you, you can also check the HP website and www.download.com Thanks
