There is another method for locating the codes for the device you wish to control. Although I do not know the specific remote model you have it should work. First though try any of the codes listed here that you have not already tried.
0002, 0179, 0184, 0209, 0236, 0463, 0479, 1479


On a majority of the Comcast remotes you have to follow special instructions for setting up combo devices.
For your TV/DVD.

• Turn the device on and insert a DVD
• On the remote press the DVD button once, then press and hold the Setup button until it blinks twice.
• If you didn't insert the DVD into the player the first time you tried your codes, retry those as well. The most common code for your device is 0236
  
• If you entered the code in correctly the DVD button should blink twice if not try it again.

You may also need to enter a separate code for controlling the TV for volume control.
If you still have not found a code that works then use this method to search the stored memory for codes.

• Turn on the device.
• On the remote press the corresponding Device key and it should blink once.
• Press and hold the Setup key until the Device key blinks twice.
• Now enter 991 on the key pad and the Device key should blink twice.
• Aim the remote at the Device and press the Power button once.
• Now press and release the Channel + button continuously until the device turns off.
• Press the Power button and the devise should turn back on.
• If the device does not turn back on then press the Channel - until it does.

• To lock the code press the Setup button.

Again since I am unsure of which model remote you have there is a slight variation to this with other models.
Instead of pressing the Channel+ to scroll through the codes you need to alternate between the Power button and TV button.

If you still are no closer to relaxing while watching a DVD. You may want to consider programing the TV/DVD as separate devices.
All this seems like a real pain so good luck.

The main reasons for this are:

• Using NTSC discs in a PAL system or vice versa.
• Using discs of the wrong type such as CDs, DVD RW or DVD RW DL, etc., or using discs that have not been finalised. Also some players have issues with certain types of recordable media and the dye tyes that are used.

If the DVD's that don't play correctly are ones that you have recorded yourselfd then you need to make sure that they are set to iso9660 and udf.

If you have issues like this then you can solve them by using an app called DVDFlick.

please try reset if still doesn't work then your dvd having the lasor defective. Need replace the whole lasor set with housing.

try just punching the numbers in, they should stay in the memory if a station is there

I'm sorry, but the TVDVD092 is not digital.

Hope that they didn't actually reset it and enter 1234. If this doesn't work, you'll have to play the "numbers game" and try all combinations...accordianman

I'm sorry, but there is no access to the menu without a remote. If you want to try a universal remote, try the codes listed for Orion, Emerson, and Sansui.

The remote that I have for this tv has part number 076R0HE04B on the back. If you google it you should get some results to buy a replacement.

Manufacturer's Phone Number may be 800-289-0980. Not sure if this is the manufacturer number, but it is the number listed on the Orion TVDVD092 box to call if you still have questions after reading the manual. I need a manual as well. I do hope that they will send me one.

What input are you using on the back of the TV?

Sounds as if the carriage has been trashed somehow. Incorrect loading of a disc of any sort can cause this sort of message...accordianman
