Windows takes forever to shut down
I have two suggestions for you:You can click on START and type msconfig in the RUN box. There will be a listing of programs running in the background. For example, any tools you might have installed like virus blockers, media players, weather, etc. Simply uncheck any devices that you don't use on a regular basis and that will speed up both start-up and shut down.Next run a Microsoft scan with three easy clicks that will fix any software problems or conflicts that you might have.
CLICK HERELast, I want you to download the FREE version of Advanced System Care so that you can clean up temp files, defrag the memory, etc.

Due to software licensing, with microsoft if you loss your code your out on a whim. You may be able to pick up a cheap copy off of ebay.
Take a look at ubuntu operating system www.ubuntu.com, it free and open source and as good if not better than XP.
down site is that you are not able to run windows software on it, but once you install it you will have full access to over 2000 free applications which can easily replace any microsoft software you where running

Hi i am rohit .
Sorry Rohit, but the product key is Microsoft's way of stopping software piracy. You need to purchase a legitimate copy of Windows, or purchase a new key from Microsoft, to make it work. We would be helping you break laws by providing a key, and that's not what this site is for.
If you don't want to spend money on Microsoft's Windows operating system, may I suggest you look into Linux? It's a great alternative to Windows, and it's free. The Ubuntu distribution, which I use on my own computer, is easy to install. It looks graphically similar to Windows so there's little new to learn to use it, and comes with a large number of applications preinstalled. This includes OpenOffice, a great replacement for Microsoft Office. More information is
here.
Thanks for asking here on Fixya!

95 e mails deleted in erroe is there any chance of
Depends if the emails were deleted from a web based email like hotmail or yahoo. If they were, the emails usually get moved to the trash folder after being deleted from the inbox. If they are deleted from the trash folder, than it is not possible to recover them. But if you have replied to any of the emails then you might have the message thread in your sent box for that particular email.
I use Outlook 2007 on vista OS so it may be a bit different to XP Mail or Outlook. The data for outlook (calendar, contacts, emails) is stored in a .pst file by default stored on your C Drive. So your deleted emails may or may not still be in this file. You can import the file to your outlook program to retrieve any old / archived emails that are stored in this file.
To find where your .pst file is stored on your computer, google a term like 'where is outlook .pst file on a windows xp os' or 'how do i find a .pst file on a windows xp computer'
The .pst files can be imported in outlook by going to 'File > Import and Export > Import from another file or program > Select the Personal Folder File .pst file.
This is how you get your emails back after they have been archived, or after your computer has been formatted, so if theres any chance of getting them back after being deleted when using outlook this method would be it. Hope it helps

I want to repair my windows xp sp3 and i dont want
The best way to guarantee your documents will be safe is to back them up to an external source. I would recommend purchasing an external hard drive or USB stick depending on the size of your documents. You can then copy the documents to the external hard drive and be confident in repairing or reinstalling Windows XP without loss of data.
I would recommend that you regularly back up your data to an external source regardless of reinstallations however to prevent possible data loss due to unforeseen circumstances.

On PC's, if Short Circuit occurs, the power supply shuts down.
- Disconnect the PC for a minute and make sure no cable is stuck, reconnect. Then turn on.
- If not. Check visually the power supply Fan on the back of PC and see if it moves.
- If the fan moves for a moment, there's still a short circuit. In this case recommend a professional. If not move at all, it is more likely the power supply is gone.

HOW DO I BLOCK AN IP?...IM GETING HACKED, IT WONT STOP
The easiest means to block IP addresses in Windows XP is to use
Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) filtering rules. The primary reason
to block IP addresses is to protect your computer from network-based
threats, such as
computer worms,
viruses and other malware. To block IP addresses in Windows XP, you
will need to activate and configure IPSeccmd, the firewall that comes
bundled with Windows XP. IPSeccmd does not come preinstalled with XP on
your computer. It can be found on Disk 2 of your service pack upgrade
or downloaded from Microsoft directly.
- Install IPSeccmd from your Window's XP Service Pack 2 installation disk.
-
Step 2
Open the Command Prompt on your computer by selecting "Start > Run" from the primary file menu and type the word "cmd" in the blank text field that appears.
-
Step 3
Enter
the following command at the DOS command prompt to block a specific
communication type (UDP or TCP) and port number on your computer:
"IPSeccmd.exe -f [*=0:PortNumber:Protocol]
-
Step 4
Open
the user interface for IPSeccmd on your desktop, and select the
"General" tab under the "Policy" section. Choose the "IP Block" option
and enter the specific IP address of the host(s) that you desire to
block. Exit the application when complete.
