Tv went out no power

It is very important to distinguish between "no power" and "no screen" on any TV, including the PHD42W39US .A total loss of power is usually caused by a failed power supply and sometimes by failed main board."no screen" in plasma TVs is often caused by a failed sustain board. For Element PHD42W39US in particular you may want to checkhttp://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2013/07/ebr50267901-lg-ysus-for-element.htmlHope this helps!

Friends, when I run my TV today it had only sound

PHD42W39US is one of the very few plasma TVs that I have seen, which does not have separate sustain boards - they are both into one. That is bad to a degree but also good to a degree as you won't need to wonder which sustain has failed the YSUS or the ZSUS.We've recently posted a short article on this board...maybe this TV...let me see...(what I myself do is open blog.coppelltvrepair.com and just search there).Yes, here is the link:http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2013/07/ebr50267901-lg-ysus-for-element.htmlAnd the actual repair service:http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/560/repair-service-for-element-phd42w39us-ysus-board-causing-dark-screen-or-tv-not-powering-on-problemOf course it is possible that there is something else that has failed. Power supply would be the main alternate suspect, but if the TV comes on and stays on then the power supply is likely good - unless damaged in a very very specific way - so specific it isn't at all likely.Hope this helps!

Element ELDFT406 shuts off by itself every 10-60 minutes

Ok, I am having the same issue. I just bought my tv - same model at the Target Black Friday sale. Can I ask, did yours make a low humming noise before you changed it out. I still am within my 30 day exchange policy, so I am thinking it would be wiser just to exchange it... but my concern is, would I get one with the same problem (or worse) in exchange?

Can't connect to Netflix with my Element smart TV

Where your Smart TV already has an app in its app pages, start that app, log onto your Netflix account (which you need to pay for) and watch away. If your TV does not have a Netflix app, give Player a try at http://www.Playora.com - this is an app that runs on a PC and lets you open content on the screen of the PC and toss it to a lot of different Smart TVs (Samsung, Panasonic, LG, Sony, JVC, etc.). Ithing, It will be helpful for you.

When i unplugged the cable hdmi and plugged it back in the tv turned off. Now everytime i plug in the hdmi cord the tv turns off.

Some sets and devices have HDMI control that can turn off and on devices connected to them. Look into the settings of both devices and search for anything to do with HDMI control.

Element tv wont turn on red light is on but wont power up

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary. Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.
