HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer "stripes scan" Questions

stripes on the photo when I scan them at 600ppi. It seems most common when I place the photos to be scanned on the lower right hand side of the flat bed. Any suggestions? Thank you. Do copies come out
