replace the whole heat roller assmebly or is the gear section replaceable. I have the heat unit out of the machine I purchased a new heat roller gear....now how do I get it to stay on? It sits loosely

it may have jammed or one of the gears may have jammed, replace faulty part. if gears worn out due to overheating, replace the thermistor. grease all gear attach to heater unit roller and ballbearing.
