1999 Dodge Grand Caravan Oil light stays on and dings

On my van the oil light stays on and the bell rings for about 3 minutes after the van is started. After about 3-5 minutes the bell quits ringing but the light stays on. Anyone have any Ideas?

The oil is fine. When I checked it it was a quart low so I added a quart. Possibly a sensor could be the problem??

Oillight is on and its dinging

I'M guessing that is oil change or oil service light you are sking about
you have to reset it like this

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, do not start the engine.
  2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three times within 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not reset. If necessary repeat this procedure.

Oil light comes on and dings when the brake is put on or the van is stopped

Oil pump is wearing out. This is not an issue as long as it only happens at idle or unless you plan to get a lot more miles out of the van.

My check engine light comes on intermittently and when i stop the oil light comes on and dings I am told this could be an oil pump - how hard is this to fix on my vehicle - Dodge Grand Caravan 2000 3.8L V6

yes this is true it could be a oil pump but first check the oil level first. most oil pumps are inside the oil pan. and most pans can only be taking off by lifting motor up or the exagust off

How do I stop and/or turn off the low oil pressure ''alarm'' bell for a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan? I DO NOT want to hear the noise from the ''alarm'' ''bell''. How do I disable the alarm bell? thank you

The oil pressure alarm is very important, the last thing you want to do is dasable it, need to check the oil level, if it is full then it would be wise to take it to the shop, probably a malfunctioning oil pressure sender

How do I stop and/or turn off the low oil pressure alarm

You need to verify that the oil pressure is within spec first. If it is then the sending unit is probably oil soaked and faulty. Unplug the sending unit and jumper the terminals together. The bell should go out.
Replace the sending unit.

Oil light constantly comes on and bell rings after a few minutes of driving. I changed oil and oil sensor .where is oil pump located?

the oil pump will be inside the oil pan. could be a weak pump or the pick-up tube may be partially clogged.

The oil light keeps coming on with a bell

If your oil gauge if you have one reads good pressure, more then likely you have a bad sensor, if you just have an oil light, take it to a repair shop where they can do an oil pressure test. Have it check, low oil pressure can cause major engine damage.

1999 Dodge Grand Caravan - dome light intermittent

Could be a worn or defective door switch. That is the first thing I would check.

On my 1999 Grand Caravan, battery ,airbag & oil pressure stay on.

Sounds like a steering column that is not grounded or if that is ok then you have a recall for the steering clockspring as for the battery light check your charging system
