Car is dead but battery is good

The car doesn't do anything. The horn doesn't beep, Headlights don't work, clock doesn't work, car won't start, the hazard lights wont' even come on. Brand new battery tested and it is still charged. When you the turn the key some dashlights come on but then fade no sound or movement from engine. When the headlights are turned on the is a ticking sound coming from the relay but the light's don't work. When you turn the hazards on there is a buzzing sound but the lights don't work. Nothing works but the battery is good and connected. Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be wrong. I don't know if it is a bad ground or connection or relay???? HELP PLEASSSE??

I would start by checking my battery terminaals and the battery cables themselves.

You should YES check all Grounds Around Battery B U T Also there are AUX Power Cables that go to the Battery Chase them to see that they have NO corrosion or Breaks. It Sounds as though you have a SIMPLE No Power to Accessories type problem.

I have a Buick Regal 98 car that want say anything when starting, and the head lights, radio, horn and windows not working.

No radio, no lights, no start = dead battery. Even with key off, lights should come on if battery isn't dead

Car won't turn, battery good

battery voltage must be at least 12.4 volts to start. Sound horn and see if loudness is not normal, or switch on headlights and see if brightness is normal

Car wont start, seems like battery went dead

If the car doesn't start with a jump you might have a bad alternator. The alternator supplies voltage to the car once the engine is running. If the battery is dead, and the alternator isn't putting out sufficient voltage, the engine cannot run. Then again sometimes a car with an extremely dead or internally shorted battery WON'T start with a jump. Replace the battery and try again.

I disconnected my battery and cleaned the cables and re-connected. Now my car will not start. The lights work the horn etc. What do i need to do to start the engine?

the battery may be faulty, just because the lights & horn work doesn't mean that the battery is enough power to start the engine the battery may have a weak sell that breaks down when you engage the starter try turning the headlights on & then try to start the engine & see how dull the headlights become,if they almost go out the battery is very low or faulty......hope this helps......cheers.

98 celica battery went dead replaced now it want crank

Try this: Unhook the battery. Reconnect the battery. When the horn starts to beep, cycle the ignition key in the ignition on-off 5 times. This resets the alarm; the cycling of the key. Please advise me if this works for you.
