Check charging system like altenator or make sure battery cables are clean and tight. go to advance or autozone they will check it for free.

First we new battery ends on, then another battery. Auto Zone and Advanced said the alternator tested good, but we got a second hand altenator and still runs out of power. I can run to Harwood and on the way back the lights starts to dim and it starts going dead.

SOURCE: 1991 Dodge Dakota 3.9L new altenator but won't stay charged

Double check all connections are clean & tight. You need to get a voltmeter and have the voltage tested at battery with engine off & running. Drive it to the Napa shop you bought the alternator from if necessary, they should perform test free of charge, as the possibility of a faulty one is not out of the question, provided all is connected properly. Did you check that a main fuse for alternator wasn't blown in Uunderhood power distribution box?

SOURCE: battery will not stay charged

Check the battery strength and then double check your alternator to make sure it's charging.. I installed 3 alternators, new off the shelf, on one vehicle, and all three were duds (4th one worked fine). If the battery does not need replacing, and the alternator is charging, double check and make sure no components are left on such as a light in the glove box.

SOURCE: battery light stays on while

Check the volts being produced by altenator / generator they should be between 14.3 to 14.9 if not replace unit.
Do you know if the car has a smart-charge system? If yes it could be the pedal switch.

SOURCE: fuel delivery error 0148 losing

P0148 Fuel Delivery Error, this can be a clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump, now if you happen to have a diesel it could be the lift pump a dealer would replace that along with a Fuel Control Actuator to clear the code

SOURCE: steering wheel not locked key

Look under the dash, on the brake pedal arm. There are one or two switches that activate brake lights and/or shift unlock. Check for loose mounting nut or a missing rubber nubber. Is the brake pedal coming all the way back up? Look on the floor for something not usually found there. These switches are adjustable and it may be as simple as adjusting them. Have a helper look for brake lights on and shift lever unlocked while you push and release the switches with your finger. Depress the brake pedal to get it out of the way. Remember to set the park brake first. Could just be a bad switch or loose connector. Check fuses and the bulbs. Is shifter fully in Park?

This may not solve all your issues, but it'll get you started.

The battery won't stay charged

Hi it is possible that you Alternator is faulty,if you have access to a VoltMeter ,check the battery voltage in the morning before you try to start it you should have around 12.7 volts for a charged battery if not fully charge your battery again and check the voltage with your car running you should have around 14 volts with the engine reving at 1500 revs.ifyou get around 12 volts then your lights are taking more power from the battery than the Alternator can replace. You could also get your local garage to Drop Test your battery to see if any of the Cells are faulty

My asb light comes on when starting and stays on. Lights won't come on , power locks won't work, power windows won't work, radio won't work. All fuses are good and car runs fine.

Those are all really common symptoms of the alternator going bad on those cars. I would have it checked to make sure it's charging properly.

1992 Mazda mpv . Won't hold charge . Engine won't

The first thing to do is have the battery tested, just because you charged it doesn't mean it will stay charged if the cells are sulfated up or shorted.

Brand new Motorola Battery installed by Ford Dealership not holding charge, cables tight, all looks normal?

Remove the negative terminal. With the key off place a test light between the cable end & the terminal. If the test light lights up, there's a direct short in your electrical system. The clock & other constant hot components do not carry enough current to light the test light. Be sure the doors are closed & all things are manually turned off that can be turned off. If test light does not light up there are no direct shorts, check the charging system, alternator & voltage regulator. Auto Zone can check the charging system for free.
