CAR WILL NOT START, CHARGE BATTERY STAYS CHARGED FOR 2 R 3 DAYS THEN BATTERY IS DEAD. EVERYTHING CHECKS GOOD BATTERY, ALTERNATOR. SOMETIMES WHEN I TURN CAR OFF THE LIGHTS STAY ON AND THE RADIO STays on. i turn them off manually now but still have the problem. after 3 days so charging the battery i have a dead battery.
Check the connecter of you battery. There's a good chance your battery connecters are loose, or another problem with your battery connecters.
Checked and one was a little loose, however, could possibly be from jumping it. Radio still does not go on and it has been over a week. This means my car will be dead AGAIN...happens every time.
Also, when the radio doesn't work the blinker does work but does not make the blinking sound it normally makes???

SOURCE: Battery keeps going dead
Hello raiderfan520....Have the battery "load tested" this will tell ya if the battery is defective, one bad cell will draw the others down. If it's bad and only 12 months old you should have warranty left. (free replacement or pro-rated)...If your battery load tests OK, then you have an amperage drain going on while the vehicle is parked.
This is called a "parasitic drain"
Make sure no interior lights, under hood, trunk lights...etc. are remaining on. I hope you don't need the following information i'm about to give you, but here are the steps to locating a parasitic drain.....
PS...what kind of season are the raiders going to have this year? I'm in LA county and "Manny being Manny" has turned me away from baseball for now.
SOURCE: my car started dying and now hasnt enough charge to start
sound like bad battery cables.replace them.the positive battery cable is old and have a lot of resistance not allowing power to the alternator to charge battery.if battery cable good check alternator connector wires.make sure they are not damage also check alternator fuse and fuse link.turn off radio before removing battery wires so you wont lose radio code.
Welcome to FixYa.com
You have a drain on battery. Check glove box light to see if it stays on truck light and under hood light if one

yes we checked them and have changed them. still having the problem. anybody else having this problem and found a solution?
Look at the lights in the glove box, trunk and under the hood. There's a timer module that keeps the radio on for a few minutes or until a door opens. If it won't shut off it's still drawong power to operate the relay.
