How to take off fuel pump on 96' toyota camry

Check the fuse box under the hood

fuel pump relay

Do you know for a fact the old fuel pump was faulty ?
Do you know if you are lacking fuel pressure or spark now ?

Do you have spark and fuel?

The pump gets power from the circuit opening relay and the EFI main relay, which are supplied through the EFI fuse. p219 here

There is no inertia switch. The ECU (Engine control module) activates the fuel pump. See attached from service manual.

The washer pump is located at the bottom of the fluid tank. On a '96 or '97 it's on the right (passenger side) under the inner fender liner. Remove the Right front wheel. Remove the lower engine cover. You should be able to get the pump out. If it's corroded fast, then you'll have to remove the inner fender liner (lots of clips will break) and remove the entire tank assembly.

check for spark at distributor,if spark is good then you have a fuel issue...no gas...bad filter.bad pump.if no spark check fuses and relays

It Could Be A Number of things

1 Fuel Pump > Check for Fuel Smell And Pump Noise
2 Timing Belt. If it Cranks Unusualy Fast or sounde as if it SKIPS While Cranking
3IGnition Modual & Coil Packs>> Check For Spark While Someones Cranking Engine Over

factory immobilisor has cut in,have you lost the chip out of the key??
