Hello, it sounds like there may be a restriction in the exhaust system, possibly a plugged up catalytic converter. Most muffler shops should be able to check exhaust back pressure. check the intake air filter. Check the intake air hoses between the throttle body and the air filter for cracks. Let me know if the check engine light is on.

Check the two vacuum hoses on the right
front side, of the front axle housing
You can use a hand held vacuum gauge, to check
the vacuum modulator & see if it will lock the front axle
Have to have the front end up in air & supported &
turn wheel/tire by hand, as you apply vacuum
Keep in mind with 4 wheel drive,only the right rear &
left front are driven wheels,not all 4
If the front axle locks in, with you pulling a vacuum & you have no
vacuum at the front hoses,then go to the transfer shifter & next to
it,is the vacuum switch
either a new tyre valve sensor or the reciever ,but in the snow it could have got too cold for the electronics to work ,you might find that when it warms up it will work ok
You could see the loation of the starter on the bell housing of your transmission.
Just follow the big diameter positive(+) cable, going down into the transmission, at the end of that cable is the starter assembly. Easily reconize with a rounded tube on top with wire connected on it.
you got big time problems with you rear suspension that prob to extensive to solve here...unless you have at least half fast experience as a shade tree mechanic you should not try to fix this yourself, this is a 1200$ + fix at a decent garage
The starter won't get hot while the car is running. The starter only works while you are cranking it over. After running a while and the car is hot, feel if your battery is not over heating. If the vaultage regulator in the alternator is bad the battery may be overcharging causing it to over heat and not want to work when boiling. After it cools down it may work again.
