If you put it in; did you touch the bulb with your fingers? If so, I've seen bulbs pop as soon as they're put in. The oil from your skin leaves a residue, and the heat goes to it, and blows the bulb. wear jersey or latex gloves when you re-install new bulb. If it still doesn't work, replace headlight bulb socket
Have you checked your fuses under the hood ? if they checkout ok look at possible combo switch problem on the sterring column need to have it tested with a test light,

It's a bulb replacement. If it's anything similar to my Audi, there is a cover on the back of the headlight housing that you pop off. Then you can reach in, pull the wire connector off the bulb, and unclip a metal retainer over the bulb, and pull the bulb out. Installation of the new one is the reverse. Just be SURE not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Skin oils can cause a halogen bulb to burn very hot and burn out very quickly. If you do touch the glass, wipe it gently but thoroughly on a cotton cloth to clean it off before you install it.

Sounds like a wire to me. It's definitely not fuses (unless the fuses have been split for left and right hand side which I have never come across, but we are talking about volvo lol) so I'd say most likely there'd be a break somewhere in the harness. The driver's side probably blew as all the power gets sent to one side when one bulb isn't working - so it's working twice as hard usually - making it more susceptable to blowing.

Ill guarantee you have an electrical short on the left side of the headlight switch, circuit. From here its immpossible for me to go any further.Good Luck.,Get A Wiring diagram.
SOURCE: high beam headlight does not work properly
it more then likey a lose wire or bear one. run the line down. i think that the high beams run on diff. fuses. you can try that!

Well I suspect that you may have developed a problem in what's called the Multiplex unit. It's an integral part of the fuse box in Honda CR-V's. It's possible that the cargo trailer caused the problem by causing too much current to be drawn thru the system, I have a similar problem with my 2002 Honda CR-V and have been told I need to replace the multiplex unit and they are quite expensive. You may have to bite the bullet and have it checked by your nearest Honda Dealer.

Thanks , But i found the problem....I'm an Idiot. There are two bulbs, I thought there was only one. Thanks for your time. If you should come across a solution for my root problem, let me know. Thanks again.
In the relay box, under the hood look for the relay for that side of the car,and swap it out with the other relay for the other side to see if that is the problem,if it is ,buy a new relay,if it is not the problem, check for the plug to the bulb to be bad.
