SOURCE: cant open right rear pasenger door 2005 pathfinder

i started by removing ashtray and the screw underneath. it would be easier to remove rear seat as access is not so good to move around. wind window down, then carefully pull from top of trim, it should come away fairly easy. the trim is held on by push in clips but you need to careful as they break easy. behind the inside door handle is a plastic backing plate which i found easier to remove first. now the outside handle can be undone and i simply pulled the cable and the door opened. the cable was broken where it joins the handle so a new cable is needed.

SOURCE: When all the doors are

Either a faulty door switch or the module will cause this. Not quite sure where the module is in your vehicle but all of them have one.

SOURCE: Sorry my car was not

You are going to need to check the power lock control moduel on the inside of the door panel. If the FOB appears to be working but the doors are not unlocking, you need to check this. I would also replace all fuses that control the locks. If both of these devices check out ok, you may need to replace your FOB. To check your power lock control moduel, manually lock and unlock your doors by pressing the lock button on the inside of the door. If it does not work, it is either the fuses or the power lock control moduel. If it works, your FOB has gone bad. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!

My door ajar light will not turn off and i cant find the door things or what door it is how do i know or can i check ..... and if it is my trunk how do i ajust it.... it is a 99 ford expedition

in most cases the a jar switch is stuck, spray some wd40 at the upper part of the latch on the drivers door ( the door used the most ) and open and close the door several times, the wait for the a jar light to go out, this happens all the time at my shop. hope this helps.

Warning bell won't stop sounding

Sounds like your door sensors are going bad and are not relaying to the computer that the doors are fully closed, with that being said you will need to replace them and also at the same time it will stop the door locks from going crazy

Cant get my interior lights to come on when i open the door.

My 02 did the same thing, i don't know if you tried this, but turn the interior lights on with the dimmer switch, then back off. Then lock the car with the remote and hopefully when you unlock it the lights will start coming on.

Door will not close completely

You have to remove "hidden" screws where the inner door handle is. There may be more. Usually they're covered up with caps. Look for round caps on the panel. Remove the caps and you'll find mounting screws. Clean the runners that the door rides on. There may be dirt and what not keeping the door from closing all the way. Clean your door latch and re-lube them.

Door a-jar light comes on.(when all doors closed)

Been there, done that. Spray some WD-40 or other lubricant (white lithium grease) into the 2 front doors. (Start with the driver's door. The switch is inside the door where the latch is. These are poorly designed. If it's like mine, it will get worse as the weather gets colder.

Information center on dash

My wife's minivan had the same exact same problem....especially on a bumpy gravel road....on off on off on off...AHHHHHHHHHHHH!! (this was both the beeps and the lights....as I said AHAHHHHH!)

I resolved it by figuring out which door was causing the issue....very irritating the flashing interior lights, etc.......the issue is likely that the rubber gasket is worth enough to not push the sensor in completely....
  • locate the sensor on each door....little 1" shaft like area in the door pillar area...pressed in when the door is closed
  • with the engine running, open each door (one at a time) to manually press this switch in ( to identify which door is causing this irritating issue)
  • once the troubled door is located...look to see where it would make contact on the door itself
  • look for a rubber nickel sized plug on the door
  • it is likely worn slightly, or pressed out of shape
  • to resolve my wife's issue, I turned this plug a 1/4 turn or so...to the 'unworn' area
  • this worked really well...although it took a few 1/4 turns to figure out the best fix
  • ultimately it was an irritating fix....but the problem is/was much worse than pulling over every now and a again to 'fix' it...esp. at night (think flashing interior light, beeping..esp. when the kids had just fallen asleep!!!!)
  • P.S....it was a little fiddle process, but once you do it once then, you can fiddle some more
  • long-term, perhaps get another 'plug', but my solution worked really well

It says the door is a jar but it isn't.

One of your door switches is probably faulty or sticking. They look like little buttons/plungers sticking out from door pillar at handle end,or in door jamb area on hinge end. You'll see where the door closes on them. Usually you can get it to act up by pushing it in & out while door open, and see if door ajar stops. When you try a door & it continues to say door ajar, with button pushed in, you found the culprit, just make sure you try it on them all. You will either have a screw or 2 holding it, or probably round black plastic base, just pry it out, and be careful to pull straight out the hole, so wires don't touch metal when coming out.
