1993 Toyota Camry V6 (3VZ-FE) XV10R (VDV10R-EPDKQ). Engine cuts out, and won't re-start for 2 to 30 seconds, sometime after starting when cold. Does not always occur. Happens in both summer and winter. Rarely happens more than once per engine start-up. Once engine has been running for at least 3 minutes, problem does not occur until next cool-down. Engine management system indicates error code 14. Tacho is reading low at all times, and reads very low when the fault is likely to occour, sometimes indicating only 200 RPM when engine is more likely doing 2500 RPM. The rest of the time, the tacho is reading about half of what it should be. Two Toyota service centers, and one independent mechanic, have no idea of the cause and want to start replacing components until the fault clears. I can't afford that. Has anyone encountered this fault before? Thanks.

I have resolved this issue. It was in the igniter. The ground link inside the module had a dry joint. A little touch with a soldering iron fixed it.
